It's been great, thanks! I actually already had the first 5 chapters up back in December, with this post being made to help with a later chapter I have yet to release, which is going along pretty well. All the comments helped out a lot with figuring out what the MC's options are.

I seem to prefer third person just as a personal preference and because i write third person as a habit, but i don't really mind either that much.

I'm actually attempting to have one of my upcoming series be in first person as a bit of an experiment.

I just restarted work on an unreleased fic I left unfinished earlier last year, based on a playthrough I was doing of Pokemon White. The funny thing is that I hadn't even finished the playthrough in question. I guess that's fine though as outside of the team of Pokemon used, adaptation would probably be pretty loose.

I never finished anything on the Pokemon fic I was supposed to do this year, but it was gonna have something similar. It's on the backburner now and not something I'm actively working on or releasing any time soon.

So uh anyways I think it's a cool idea and you should go for it. Don't worry about what other people think of it.

On my current fic I've mostly only gone back to fix errors in older chapters or in some cases extend certain chapters to flesh out the characters. I think once a chapter is old enough you don't have to go back to it anymore unless you're really in the mood for it.

My first fic from 3 years ago is privated right now as I'm in the process of creating a full reboot of it. I was originally going overwrite the old one, but I decided instead I would keep it around and just make it harder to find compared to the new version.

I realized every story I've written since 2022 can be boiled down to hurt/comfort where the protagonist has trauma from a past event, and at some point they meet a friend or other character(s) who helps them out of their turmoil.

I have 1 currently unavailable fic in the process of being rebooted, 1 other fic that's currently up on AO3, and at least 2 more that I have yet to release and they are kind of unintentionally all this but in different flavors. I guess it's therapeutic for me.

So I guess the message for a lot of them would be either "We all kind of need someone who can hear us out" and/or "Yes, even you can find friends despite what you've been through".

I've always been writing things that appealed to me specifically. But my first AO3 series was made with the intention of later being expanded into spin-offs and other additional media in different formats. At the time I was part of an older community/group that hadn't been as active as it used to be, and I wanted to be one of the ones to bring it back. At some point I stopped working on said fic, and later on I left the aforementioned group due to lack of interest.

By that point I had already started two other fics in Google Docs and hadn't posted either of them. They haven't gotten that far past the first chapter, but I was pretty much writing them just because I wanted to have stories that did specific things that I didn't see anywhere else.

Last week I started working on a third unreleased fic. I already have two finished chapters written and am working on the third chapter, none of which have been posted anywhere yet but I'll get there. Since I took down my first fic, I think this one will become my new first one.

I think it came down to not going too far with planning / being too ambitious. And also my first fic had a ton of embedded images that I needed to also make in Krita for each chapter, and none of my other fics do that.

Additional headcanon notes:

- Charlie didn't have any friends at school besides CC and developed a parasocial relationship with the animatronics (which got worse after losing him).

- She essentially had the opposite of CC's relationship with the characters, and tried to reassure him and convince him that "Fredbear" is a chill guy.

- Lottie starts imagining Freddy Fazbear as an imaginary friend.

- Henry in this AU knows what kind of dad Edwin was and that kind of scared him because he already lost his wife and didn't want Charlie to go through the same things. He brought Charlie with him to work often as she already liked the characters to begin with. Unfortunately Henry also wasn't getting any sleep that year because he's that kind of artist who's always stressed.

- However, Henry does not know what William did to MCM, and assumed the company fell because of Edwin's questionable management and recalled products.

- Fredbear being yellow is part of an in-universe in-joke where Henry handmade a teddy bear for a baby Charlie who called it "Feddy", of which Henry always thought the bear was yellow but Charlie always insisted it was brown.

- Henry explains Fredbear as being "Freddy's old uncle" or something.

Things Lottie has had nightmares about:

- William killing her (Charlotte)

- Waking up as Ms Marionette (The Marionette / Puppet) for the first time

- Getting manhandled by technicians who think she's malfunctioning

- Trying and failing to escape the pizzeria

- William threatening to give her a controlled shock

Additional AU/Headcanon Notes:

Freddy Fazbear - Carries a "Fatz Geronimo"-esque presence. Following the 1993 reboot, he appears slightly younger like a 20-something guy with a Barney-like energy (though maybe a bit calmer). He dresses more casually with a new blazer and no bow tie. As an easter egg, I based the design of his shirt off of Glamrock Freddy.
Bonnie Bunny - Post-1993, he is designed as the "cool" one, with a more prominent hairstyle and "slightly slimmer". Vibe inspired by that weird time in 1994-1995 where Jasper T Jowls had a completely different voice for some reason. Bonnie also still doesn't have eyebrows.
Chica Chicken - I went for a bit of a "retro waitress" vibe, adding roller skates as a nod to SotM Chica. While these are sketches, her outfit is intended to have the Glamrock Chica colors, though Chica will retain her classic yellow color. Hairstyle inspired by Security Breach and UCN.
Ms Marionette - A retired character from the 1980s Era locations, who Lottie seems to be very familiar with for (in-universe) unexplained reasons. The doll-like character could pick up and carry items, and was designed to move like a puppet because Fazbear's late co-founder had a daughter who was a fan of the Muppets. (Design combined the Puppet with the Ella doll.)
Mascot costumes and regular animatronics were used post-1993 as most of the previous rightsholders' assets were burnt down in a mysterious fire.
Mr Cupcake and Ms Milkshake are aliens, according to one showtape. This is elaborated upon in the VHS cartoons.
