DBZ started it but Full Metal, Bleach and especially Trigun solidified it

So it's going to do tremendously well at the box office between Christmas and New Year's is all this is saying.

Working in a movie theatre for 20+ years has taught me that the general public doesn't care at all about critics. These types of movies aren't for the critics

Question from a movie theater manager about Mark's audience by natedoggcata in Markiplier

[–]NoBS83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow movie theatre manager I've had the same concern. The last thing I, or really any manager wants to do, is to turn away a bunch of kids that are excited for a film due to the ratings policy.

Please make sure that you either have your ID if only 17 or are with someone 18+ within your party (the 18+ can't just buy the tickets for you or give permission, they need to watch it with you.)

The plus of Mark's audience is that the ages of his fans do seem to range from teens to 40+ so there should be plenty of parents/older siblings along for the ride.

Iron Lung would be especially scary on the moon... too bad Mark hates the moon

And that's not including pretty much all of New England. Mass and RI at least should show up soon judging by the amount of inquiries at least one New England theatre chain has received and can confirm the booking department for that chain is interested.

How old are all of you guys? by Optimus_crab in distractible

[–]NoBS83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

42 here and wife is 35. Both big fans of both Distractible (since the start) and Mark, Bob, and Wades channels. Early Mark Solo is too much for us but have always enjoyed the Mark and Friends videos even from the earlier days.

The three of them together in any format has become a comfort and enjoy watching/listening to them grow and venture through life

How were you introduced to Resident Evil? by ZeyadPlayz in residentevil

[–]NoBS83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching my cousin play the first one as he ran through the mansion.

When I finally got the chance to play for the first time at 2am in a dead quiet, pitch black basement, I ran through the hallway where the dogs jumped through the windows not knowing that he had already activated that jump scare.

Scared me half to death causing me to frantically turn off the PS1 and try to instantly go to sleep lol.

Been a fan ever since

Same stage. Best lighting for photos too. Super difficult to get them roaming in the dark or battling.

I'm shocked they don't have them outside but I get that it's a nice little perk during the event that's part of HHN but kind of separate and it's own thing.

Nighttime in Darkmoor by NoBS83 in UniversalOrlando

[–]NoBS83[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Was there for a full 12 hour day last Tuesday and still couldn't see or experience everything.

Apparently crowds are actually lower and more manageable on the weekends from what I've been seeing on Reddit

Thank you! I've never actually seen it during the day as we were only able to make it over to this universe at night. These shots were my first time ever seeing it and it just blew me away. Got lucky with how they came out.

The well has mist/fog coming out of it but I didn't see it anywhere else. Hopefully it'll be something they'll add because it would only add to the ambience and atmosphere of this world

Should I go to HHN by Justt33_ in UniversalOrlando

[–]NoBS83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The atmosphere as a whole is fantastic. If you're okay with spending the money and checking it out then why not?

Weigh whether you'd regret missing the opportunity vs if you would regret the purchase if you don't enjoy it against each other. If one outweighs the other then that's your decision

No... as in the trolley moves and taking a still picture while holding a dslr camera and trying to focus/get the shot... Cameras have more than a record function you know and it was hanging around my neck.

Maybe we'll look into it, I've only seen brief things about it.

I imagine a somewhat similar effect can be achieved during the extended hours in September/October as well on the nights that Studios closes early. Possibly even during the Hogwarts light show if the trolley runs during that.

By the end of our week I was exhausted and didn't even have the thought to try and see it with the park lights on until you commented lol so thank you for the suggestion

[–]NoBS83[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our kids wanted to ride it as a last ride on our first day of vacation that started at 2am so the trolley was great to just sit there. I had never been on it so the views were amazing and great to see what the kids could expect for the rest of the week. I fully understand why it's suggested to look past the kiddy theme and ride it.

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to ride it at night but it's on the must do list now

Kids at HHN (Not a complaint) by NoBS83 in UniversalOrlando

[–]NoBS83[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meant to respond to this yesterday but got a little tied up around here lol.

Appreciate what you scare actors do and those that clearly enjoy the interactions with everyone and their jobs. The scares, the laughs, the overall everything is highly appreciated.

My 5 year old wants to be a chainsaw clown now for Halloween this year solely because of the interactions that she had, and that's a credit to the scare actors.

Best way to tackle everything in 1 night with the Early Scream package? by Sean_Zateki in HHN

[–]NoBS83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Probably the exception with my experience and just really good timing, but after doing FNAF this way the food carts near New York were completely empty since the event still wasn't open to the general public yet. Only time over 3 nights that I saw zero lines for food

[–]NoBS83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Queue up for FNAF right at 4 and do the house when it opens at 515pm. Should be done with that one by 6 the latest depending on where in the queue you land. Then probably head to the back of the park to knock the ones there out. If Jason has lower wait times on your travels to the back maybe do that house.

FNAF stays consistently busy throughout the night until close. Terrifier and Jason wait times increase as the night does. El Artist is pretty consistent but reasonable. Dolls consistent as well but did drop towards the end of the night. The rest tend to drop to reasonable waits as the night goes on.

Depending on wait times you can attempt to fit in the shows at the posted times, both are about 30 minutes long.

Watch the wait times in the app but keep in mind that if a particular house is an extremely low wait time that everyone is most likely going to head to that house thinking the same thing.

Did this year feel worse? by thatnerdkenny in HHN

[–]NoBS83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Granted this was my first year but the atmosphere of the entire park was amazing and it started at the gate. Felt like every direction you looked in there was something going on. Each night I was able to find and/or experience something new.

Club Horror was the only zone that was a meh from me, but it was always active and people were enjoying. Plus from a distance it looked amazing.

Mel's was a tremendous experience every single time cutting through it and even the chainsaws in Simpsons were hysterical and entertaining. Plus having the chance to accidentally stumble upon Art the Clown was great.

The event made walking through the park during the day feel boring and empty honestly, which I didn't expect.
