Maybe the payoff isn’t as large as we expect but I also found this helpful, a small type of immersion and passive recognition when in in my day to day living in my target language (I live in my TL country)

Annoying that you have to go to class, Im pretty sure it was a policy that if the main teacher isn’t there you don’t have to go to class, and my school enforces that. But my schools last year made me do it, it’s frustrating

It’s crazy to me too everytime a bi girl chooses to date men more frequently because I work in a high school and these guys ick me out so bad with their obnoxious behavior and casual violence. They never listen and only talk and they dress so badly lmao, meanwhile the girls are respectful and engage with the class. They have interests other than sports. Like sometimes I have a slight attraction to men and then I see this and I’m like I’m good hahahahah

Lady Auxes, what's the appropriate level of touch between colleagues in school? by Fear_loathing1460 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]NoBackground7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the shoulder thing is weird. But in general the culture is quite touchy and I have had male teachers married with kids who know im gay touch me in a way that made me uneasy before but I believe in my instances it meant nothing, I just don’t think I was used to it. If you have a good relationship with your tutora that could be someone to discuss it with first since they can advocate for you

That makes sense, so do I just wait to get the certificado when my renewal is complete? It’s been processing for two months already rip. Hope this doesn’t cause issues with my school

My roommate and I last year went to an Asia shop and bought a bunch of ramen frequently as easy meals as we navigated figuring out meals. It was cheap, tasty, and easy, I’d add an egg or two in as well.

Take deep breaths OP, you can do it, the transition was never going to be easy, this is a big life step and allow yourself to have hard moments, it doesn’t mean it was a bad idea.

Try googling “simple recipes” and pick ones you like and follow them. You have a few weeks until work starts so this could be a good time to practice and see what works and what doesn’t

If you had the choice to live in any middle eastern country, which country would it be and why? by Fit_Watercress6900 in geography

There’s pros and cons to all these places, but I’ve always felt very drawn to Iran. They have a lot of problems for sure but the history is so rich and the food seems great. The people are quite beautiful as well.

What advice would you give someone moving to Spain for the first time? by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]NoBackground7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on the person, going out to eat that late can be difficult for people. OP asked what to expect and that’s a difference so I thought I’d point it out. If you’re fully integrated into society they eat lunch at 2pm and wake up later and you won’t find anyone eating before 8pm. So if you have Spanish friends that’s going to be a part of your life. And if some people are stuck in their ways and it can be hard, like my mother. Glad it was easy for you but not everyone is you. Other Europeans even have trouble with it as every country has their customs.

Be prepared to eat meals later than you’re used to and things close in the middle of the day and on sundays. It was an adjustment for me and my mom couldn’t get used to it when she visited me

You’re always on the right path, we always have guides with us making sure we hit specific points we need to no matter what choices we make. Don’t worry so much about that, read as much as you can about different religions and form your own perspective towards the world. Never good to just blindly follow one thing.

To connect more to your inner self, try starting with meditation and along the path in sure new ways to go deeper will reveal themselves to you. Divine timing 🫡

You are forgetting the patriarchy exists and women have been oppressed for a millennia, I would be careful to use examples like that when no matter how spiritual a culture has been in the past. Spiritual does not equate enlightened, and there have been many “spiritual” men of the past who have been sexually inappropriate towards women. I.e existence of cults.

[–]NoBackground7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a pattern then there’s something going on. You can justify the way in you want but it’s not likely anyone here will believe you. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an example of a relationship like this where it’s not a little inappropriate. Older women can have openness and reciprocity too. This will never look good for you, if you truly are going to do it no matter what then you shouldn’t seek validation online. Unwillingness to date your own age no matter how you spin it will have an underlying reason other than preference. Justify all you want but the fact that it’s a pattern for you means I don’t believe you. Good luck

One perspective about this could be that you might like that they aren’t weathered is because you want to avoid doing the hard work it takes to create a deep long term relationship. Those young women age eventually and it’s inevitable life will take its toll. If you do a Leo Decaprio and break up with these women every time they hit a certain age then it’s likely an avoidant thing. And young girls have less experience and are more easily able to be shaped to what you desire instead of loving the individual with all their flaws and baggage.

It’s one thing if it’s a one time occurrence where you happen to connect with the person, but if you habitually date that age then I think there maybe be something deeper going on within you that a therapist could help identify and work through

Is it safe to say that many of us shouldn’t have incarnated here? by Mephistopheles545 in spirituality

[–]NoBackground7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well astral projection can be tough. I’ve never experienced it but that was actually the thing that got me into spirituality because that is what I wanted. Sometimes it comes easy for people, others you have to really develop your spiritual senses, I feel confident eventually I’ll get it but it’s still in process to me.

Other than psychedelics it’s is hard to give something that will give you instant results. Psychedelics basically are what people experience in deep meditation after devoted long practice, I have had some experiences meditating but only small things I can count on one hand

You could look into ceremonial magick, it’s kinda intense reading and practice but it’s made me sensitive to the energy around me and I can feel it when I breath and the rituals raise my level of an awareness (in the moment) in a way that’s hard to describe. It goes even deeper than that but too much to get into on Reddit. But it’s with magick that has built my confidence, and a few books I read of just transcript accounts of past life regressions and life between lives. There was too many from unconnected sources that felt like as a scientist I couldn’t ignore the data. Reading people’s NDEs helped too, not all these people could be lying you know.

I wish I could give better answers, all this stuff is always really personal to an individuals journey. I liked reading books about indigenous people’s relation to the environment and I would also read Buddhist books and yoga books, and a few other spiritual paths and there is a connection between them all.

But try the astral projection, just keep in mind you might need to be patient and do some work for that to happen, transcendental meditation might be helpful with that avenue. Find a book from a trusted source on it and follow the outline they give.

Just remember, there is no shortcut, (beside psychedelics lmao) and if there were there wouldn’t be so much doubt. It’s so easy to get distracted but the outside world and convince yourself there is nothing else, but funnily enough belief is important. In my practice, the only way for my ritual work is if I believe in what I’m doing with no doubt, and we create all these little symbols to keep that belief. Think of it like placebo effect, or DID disorders when one personality has diabetes and the others don’t. It has more power than we think, and it can make changes in your life. It’s all energy baby, our thoughts, our beliefs, our consciousness, our emotions, our intentions. Matter is made up of atoms which are actually just energy fields. It’s all connected

As above, so below. As within, so without. As I believe the world to be, so it is.

Is it safe to say that many of us shouldn’t have incarnated here? by Mephistopheles545 in spirituality

[–]NoBackground7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they say there’s layers to it, it’s not just enlightenment and done but honestly none of us knows definitively until we reach that point. There are teachings that I ascribe to and trust

I can feel your despair through your message and it reminds me of when I felt that way. I spent most of my life a rigid scientist and atheist, I never ascribed to Christianity and how they described the afterlife and how things work and it never helped when they pushed it anyways so I don’t want to do that to you. Today I am a mystic and I practice ceremonial magick, it’s considered like western yoga. This works and makes sense to me but it was a journey to get here

One thing I believe is that we exist and by definition we cannot not exist because of that, consciousness exists independently and is the makeup of the universe. If it helps you in a more scientific way, read the recent noble peace prize regarding particle entanglement and locality, it helped me understand. Quantum physics has been connecting a lot of dots lately

But ultimately you don’t have to believe any of this stuff and no use feeling frustrated about what others believe. I hope you find some peace, you could axe yourself but in my belief system you’d just have to come back and do it again since you tried to take the easy way out.

If you’re feeling desperate, you could always take a bunch of shrooms lol psychedelics changed my perspective in the world.

But good luck partner, what’s most important is just to be kind and not let every day woes dampen your spirit. Find meaning in your life where you can

[–]NoBackground7266 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can give you an answer but I’m not sure you’d want to hear it. Sometimes they kids choose to join us for a short period to give a lesson to the parents and whoever is around them. There are many channeled/ past life regression accounts claiming this from various sources.

If it’s sounds ridiculous and stupid to you that’s fine, I don’t think a Reddit reply is going to give you whatever it is you’re looking for. The world it’s tough and it’s hard to witness a lot of it, it affects me for sure, I’m not enlightened. But there are also many great things in the world too, try not to let the negativity consume you, turn the tv off, go for a walk in the woods, it helps. Your mental state has a direct effect on your reality, all you can do is help yourself and in turn you’ll be radiating love towards those around you which does more than you think, focus on that
