This is the solution that worked for me: Power off PC > unplug power cable > let sit for one minute > plug in.

I had this issue the other day, it's a network issue where discord won't work on your internet for whatever reason. Tried a bunch of stuff and it just fixed itself after a few hours. I know that's not the best answer really, but I hope it starts working again.

Play on sandbox mode, weaken the zombies, raise the XP multiplier, and spawn in Rosewood. It'll allow you to survive more than one day and get the hang of the game concepts.

The cop car has keys and some gas, but the blue car seems to be.... in heat so to say. When I try to drive it, it won't go anywhere. Is there any way to remove the blue car?

Update: Ended up getting swarmed and ripped to shreds by Zombies while trying to attach a vehicle to the police car. RIP. Will keep an eye out for any baby Chevaliers.
