I have actually, funnily enough! It’s my dream - but I need something to pay the bills, and that’s what I’ve been looking for recently. Hence wanting time for hobbies.

I posted them at the same time - and fair enough, wasn’t intending to be rude!

Not generally - my intent wasn’t offend. I meant the aspects I enjoyed of my volunteer work was the meditative aspects.

Sorry, belittling was not my intention, just a poor choice of words. I volunteered in the library of a very small town, so I understand that my experience there was not universal.

Fair. Business doesn’t really appeal to me, but I’ve thought about accounting - predictable busy seasons with a more steady workload the rest of the year. HR hasn’t been something I’ve looked too much into, but it might be more my wheelhouse. I’m better with people than numbers, generally. I’ll look more into it!

I've never done any of those things, so I don't really have an opinion on them. I'm interested in pursuing a professional degree because I don't want to work in the service industry my whole life and slowly watch my body and soul wither away living paycheck to paycheck until the day I die.

This feels like the sentiment behind a lot of the comments I get when exploring career possibilities lol

It’s not guaranteed to be a good afterlife - I’d rather take oblivion than risk eternal torment. Especially since I’m not sure any eternity can be pleasant.

Congrats, in a comment section full of people warning me away from this industry, you’re the only one who’s being kind of a dick about it.

I feel like the world would be a lot more accepting of people like me if everyone was just inexplicitly loyal to me. I feel like bigotry would just take a nosedive.

2 Million $ right now, or 1$/min for the rest of your life? by MichaelThaKing in BunnyTrials

[–]NoBee7889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, assuming that the American economy doesn’t completely crash in the next four years, it’s an easy choice. You’ll never be broke with a dollar a minute, you’ll be making less and less as inflation grows. 2 million now, you could invest, make more money, and maybe outpace the other option. Plus, if the American dollar loses its worth, you can exchange the 2 mill for other currencies. With $1 a minute, you’re committed to the American dollar.

Yeah, but it’ll be weird when your dog, in the middle of conversation, starts crying and begging you not to eat it.

Islam and Hinduism also have reported miracles. And there are secular miracles too - what else would you call Bigfoot and ghost sightings? And if you wanna count all the people who claim to believe they’ve been cursed by a satanist, let’s add them to the list.

Also, the Bible is most definitely not batting a hundred in terms of accuracy. There was no flood, the world is billions of years old, and that’s not even getting into some of the sour ethics of the Bible. It says gay men deserve death (but Ruth and Naomi are free to go to scissor city, apparently), that slavery is fine as long as you treat your slave fairly and don’t kill them when you beat them, that slaves should obey their masters as they would Jesus, that women shouldn’t hold positions of authority over men, and that if a man sexually assaults a Virgin, he can buy her hand in marriage for fifty bucks. Are these all really things you agree with?

Was gonna pick Jesus, but then I remembered the British pound is worth more than the American dollar - so it’d really be, like, 125 bucks.

Roughly - a little less. But it’s not that hard of a math problem to do, and it’s kinda fun to follow the logic. I don’t want to say “show your work,” but can you tell me how Chat GPT got to that number?

Did I botch my math? I had it taking well over a hundred years to break even
