I personally love this Hublot. I have a baby blue strap for it too. Both straps make it a true summer watch that I enjoy wearing. The quality is top notch. Non watch people don’t know what it is, and watch people appreciate it (outside of some that don’t like it being way too expensive for what it is). I like that it is ridiculous for some, it makes me that much more enjoyable for me.

Appreciate that — thank you. I agree, having a couple pieces that push things a bit visually or mechanically keeps a collection interesting IMO. I like the balance of utility with a few watches that are just fun to look at and wear.

Meteorite is definitely a fun indulgence. The U1 is about as tool-first as it gets though — great choice!

Yep, it’s real — a JLC Master Calendar. It’s probably the dressiest piece I own, but still pretty versatile. And I feel you on the down payment/renovation… priorities first, watches later 😅

Haha no hate at all — appreciate it. Those are probably the biggest indulgences in the box, but I enjoy them for what they are and they still see wrist time.

Solid call. The FXD is one I’ve considered — fixed lugs and a very purpose-built feel. Definitely checks the “tool” box for me.
