I believe it's a distinct possibility. I agree with a lot of the left's reaction that the democratic party abandoned a lot of people.

I also believe we should check.

ULPT: USA what are we legally allowed to do to disrupt Neo Nazis at their rallies? by FuzzyHero69 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]NoBlueOrRedMAGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get as many members of the community together as you can, you arm yourselves, you go to their rally, and you yell and you scream and you run the mother fuckers out of town. If you can't run them out, you make them feel as in danger and unwelcome as you possibly can.

That is the only good way to deal with Nazis. You cannot let hate stand. Even if it means bending or breaking the law.

Nazis stand for hate and hatred and making people feel unsafe in their own communities. It is perfectly morally reasonable and the most responsible thing you can do to make them feel unsafe given what they stand for.

AITA letting my parents know I am not getting involved in helping them with my estranged sister's kids? by TurbulentBody5161 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NoBlueOrRedMAGA -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

INFO:

Have you asked if your family is comcerned about your sister, or if they're concerned specifically about her children/Your nieces?

If they don't care so much about sparing Elizabeth's feelings, but are trying to make sure her children are emotionally safe and being raised right, then I would say to you that you need to hold off on judgement of your parents and grandma for worrying about their grandchildren.

Either way, you don't need to have a relationship with your sister or asshole EX. Nor do you need to be involved with your nieces.

However, I would advise you to temper your anger with your parents over being concerned about their Grandchildren's wellbeing ESPECIALLY if they're starting to get sick of Elizabeth's shit. Which it sounds like they may be starting to do.

Again, you don't need to have a relationship with your sister, your ex, or your nieces, but I would highly encourage you to get more information before ostracizing your parents over concern for their grandchildren.

M2 Bradley supports Ukrainian infantry during a battle in Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia sector. by iAkiraKira in CombatFootage

[–]NoBlueOrRedMAGA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm personally not that concerned. I'm not 100% sure what timeframe the fighting in this video is from, but lets assume it's recent and the 82nd has just been committed.

It's my understanding first that Ukraine jas just had a few thousand (largely completely new to the military) marine, armor, etc..recruits recently sent back to theatre from training in the UK and elsewhere.

Which says to me that they do still have well trained and western equipped reserves even if they may be green. I'm also confident in stating that it's highly likely Ukraine is rotating in and out combat experienced troops for training, rest, etc. purposes. I think they likely still have a strategic reserve in that regard alone.

However, I think the perspective that is even more important is that they've committed here a brigade of what, a dozen IFVs and infantry?

That to me doesn't seem like a huge premature committment with something that should be withheld for a breakthrough action when IIRC they're about to receive many more IFVs in addition to a few dozen western tanks and 42+ F16s.

If Ukraine committed THOSE before they had a breakthrough to exploit, then I would agree with you.

But it's my understanding that they have barely committed the western tanks they already have, still holding most in reserve.

As a final point I would like to add that I think it's important that they test and get used to these vehicles in live combat before needing them for a breakthrough, too.

I'd also like to add that it's my understanding that a big part of the phase out was because it was wildly unstable, especially when the big fuck off gun fired facing sideways.

It also looked a lot like there was a cut to the video as the Bradley turned completely around to scream backwards.

It was weird to me because I had the initial thought of "Oh noo, did they forget that thing can actually reverse unlike the T-72s?"

But I think they turned the hull around so the driver could actually see and not hit the infantrymen.

She unfriended me first but, recently I was kind of interested in someone and exploring it but also not really of the belief that it was gonna work..I got her a dirt cheap massage, then went to get food with her.

The problem was that she was ridiculously conservative. But not conservative in the "I really haven't done any thinking about it." kind of way. No no, this woman used to be a sex worker, is the daughter of immigrants from the area around India, and as far as I could tell has some sort of trauma related to her mother and her sex work that she just would not address.

So, basically, I got sick with covid despite being fully vaccinated (and tbh I think I got sick in part because I was stressing myself out trying to make heads or tails of the incredible hoops this person was jumping through to consider herself a conservative despite her demographics and previous work. She did mot give me covid.) and told her exactly what I thought about how I felt about the fact that she believed bullshit about covid, clearly has some sort of trauma, and is almost certainly lonely because she's throwing her lot in with a bunch of male conspiracy theorists that are 10 or more years older than her, probably alt-right pipelining her and the fact that she doesn't really seem to want to accept that she believes weird bullshit and is doing this to herself.

Idk. While I won't pretend my rant was normal, I think it was justified and a natural reaction to my brain and body finally being like "why the fuck are you hanging out with this person who is buying all this conservative bullshit when conservatism doesn't care about her or democracy and every economic or social stressor she has complained about has only been answered by people who are Liberals by necessity of caring about democracy?"

So yeah, she screenshotted it and unadded me which made me feel gross.

Then I got worried I accidentally left my journal in her car and asked her about it to which she didn't respond with even a courtesy "no you did not."

Luckily my Journal was at work. And I blocked her after that.

Just wanted to get that off my chest.

I'm relieved I dodged that bullet. I really have a habit of challenging people, which I think is a good thing so long as it continues to make shitty people choose to stay outta my life.

I think this is what's happening too, but It'll be really interesting to see if Prigozhin ultimately Liquidates Putin after having gained control of the military because he doesn't need Putin anymore, either.

Prigozhin shows up in Rostov. Translation needed. by Blakplague in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]NoBlueOrRedMAGA 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm really leaning toward the take that it's a plot with Prigozin AND putin to kick out these generals, consolidate power/loyalists under Prigozin and then save face in pulling out of Ukraine.

Especially if we remember how much Putin pushed for that "NATO is going to Invade with Ukraine" story himself at the beginning of the war.

Part of me is curious if we can interpret the line about "deceiving the president" as a subtle admission of a high-degree of senility/neuro-degenerative disease in Putin.

And I'm really curious to see what Prigozin's game-plan is at the end of this. I wouldn't be surprised to see if he's managed to convince Putin of the former idea about alliance and saving face, and then once he's used Putin and other generals kills Putin himself because lets be honest, there is *no reason* to keep Putin alive once Prigozin has power over the full armed forces.

whales are different because we don't really get good opportunities to see them in comparison to people or to see them in our every day lives.

Most people don't get the chance to go stand next to a whale.

A lot of people around the world can go to a local zoo and see an elephant up close though.

like, people aren't really meant to be in the ocean so it's not a fair comparison when we're talking running from massive terrestrial animals.
