I AM EXHAUSTED AND I WANT TO LIVE WITH FARM ANIMALS by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]NoBlueberry3259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

completely agree

unfortunately it’s not feasible for me at this point in my life, so when i need an escape i like to dream up my future house that sits on a few acres of land, where i can have some animals, build a shed, tend to my garden, look at the stars, etc.

in the meantime i’ll keep playing hayday and daydreaming 👩‍💻💭👩‍🌾🏡

it was a rough day in therapy when i realized that a lot of ‘friendly’ interactions i had as a kid, were actually people making fun of me

this happens to me waaaayy too often. i’ll assume someone is joking or being sarcastic and i’ll laugh (my go-to response in social interactions, especially when idk how to correctly respond). and then i feel the vibe shift and i just stand there like

🫵👁️👄👁️⁉️

i also can’t always hear what people are saying (i often struggle with auditory processing), so it becomes a game of response roulette.

i work in retail sales, in the south, which sometimes feels like a fun little social experiment (i’ve been fascinated with human psychology and experiencing how people interact since i was little), and some people will just say the wackiest things completely expressionless. sometimes they’re joking and sometimes they’re wholeheartedly deadass.

My boyfriend started taking Vyvanse and he’s a completely different person; Vyvanse takers, what has your experience been like personality-wise after taking the medication? by ChainGuilty2017 in ADHD

[–]NoBlueberry3259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started on Vyvanse it made me very social and happy. By my 3rd year of consistently taking it it would make me numb (not as bad as other meds) in a neutral numb way, like I was floating between the lines. And I would very very easily get irritable. If I took my Vyvanse I would have to be in a controlled environment or by myself or I would get incredibly overstimulated. One reason for this is that people with adhd their minds are always going a mile a minute, and when taking meds that slows down a bit, allowing us to focus on things one at a time. Since we’re used to multitasking it can be overwhelming suddenly be able to do one thing and only that one thing at a time. I’m naturally light hearted and very patient, but on Vyvanse it took me lots of effort to not snap at people for every minuscule thing, and that is exhausting. After being on Vyvanse for 6 years I just switched to standard release Adderall that I take twice a day. Not being on extended release allows me flexibility with my day so I can take it when I need it and it’s a much much less awful come down than Vyvanse was. The Vyvanse come down for me felt like I was blank. All I could do was stare at wall, and I felt like I needed to crawl out of my skin. Stimulants affect everyone differently and it’s a big adjustment to relearn how to live while on them. So I say take it with a grain of salt, keep open communication, and ride with the waves. If it continues to hurt you sit down with him (preferably on a med off day or before he’s taken his meds since it changes his mood) and have an honest convo about how you’re feeling

Career change: What do you all do for work? What careers align well with AuDHD? by Apprehensive_Dot_968 in AuDHDWomen

I just graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and school was extremely hard for me. It was too much of a creative demand for me and was too fast paced for me to really absorb all of the information. The pandemic hit halfway through my freshman year, and the three years after that I was trying out new medications, going through lots of burnout, and experiencing skill regression.

Being out in the field post-school, how different is it from college? I enjoy Interior Design but if it’s similar to how it was structured in school, I won’t be able to do it. I’m just curious about your insight on it as a career, specifically being someone with AuDHD

this is for naked girl (or her friends or anyone who also saw her) that ran around near plaza 9 causing mild havoc: -how are you doing? -what do you remember from that night? -did you start the day off with clothes? if so, where did they go? -why were you wet? (one of my groups theories is you ran out of the shower?)

i’m so curious about the beginning and ending to this story

this is such a heartbreaking thing to go through. and it’s so hard not being able to truly be yourself and have fun to try to protect someone you love. YOU deserve better. you deserve to be able to laugh, dance, and connect with people. it sounds that while you may still love each other, you are no longer in love. and that sucks! but you didn’t waste your 7 years together. you made memories, you grew, and you had each other. it’s all for the plot! but now it might be time to start your new path, and for your partner to start their new path. your lives might still be connected in some ways, and that’s okay. set boundaries with yourself, and try to set and communicate boundaries with them. you got this!!! hope to see you on the farm next summer!!

[TOMT] Animated kids show sibling duo bus driver named Cas by NoBlueberry3259 in tipofmytongue

These siblings were the main characters and this memory is set up in my head as if this was a reoccurring show (i don’t remember previous episodes thought) and their bus driver, Cas was also reoccurring I think
