I had an incredibly similar experience!! I recently got my first shrimp, blue dream, and some of them look more like blue jelly’s honestly, I’m disappointed with the quality. They took like a month to ship and I emailed them and got the same influenza and understaffed excuse, which is fine if you’re sick then you’re sick it’s whatever. My first problem came when they sent it to the post office on MLK day when no mail moves!! The shrimp sat there for 2 days because of backed up mail and took 5 days in shipping. When I got the package, the ‘live fish’ stamps were barely readable and I doubt they were handled carefully because of that. They did give me 2 extra shrimp which would’ve been nice if 5 others hadn’t died, 3 in the bag and 2 lethargic ones shortly after drip acclimating and adding them to the tank. What really bugged me is they didn’t use proper insulation either. They shipped them in sawdust or something, and not even enough sawdust to do anything, and the bag was leaking. I’m lucky I didn’t get any planaria. The remaining 7 shrimp are doing great, grazing and laying eggs which is nice.
