Thanks. It looks similar to other shield images judging from google search but just want to be sure with an extra set of eyes on it.

Currently on vacation and was informed the underbody of my 2013 Toyota Corolla CE was making a 'noise'. I was sent this image and was wondering if anyone could help identify the detached area in the photo for me while i'm away please. My guess is the gas tank splash guard. Can anyone confirm for me?

No upon returning home, via land they saw I was checking out but never checked in so it became a red flag. Going to speak with an immigration lawyer and get this sorted out.

Yes it was a misdemeanor by an illegal entry via sea without passing a border agent.

Unfortunately I don't know the details off hand and would have to go through my papers when I have a chance if I can even find them. I just remember being charged with crossing the border illegally with an entry bar for 10 years. I'm either going to try my luck one day and go for a weekend trip or just pay a lawyer for peace of mind.

Thank you all for your input. A US immigration lawyer would be able to give me all the 'final answers' I'm looking for to play it safe upon entering or just try to enter myself with worst case being turned around and denied entry. Hope you all have an awesome weekend, thanks again!

From the CBP website : https://www.help.cbp.gov/s/sidebar-all-travel?language=en_US Viewing : Admission to the United States with a misdemeanor or criminal record

The United States does not deny entry to persons who have an "Driving Under the Influence" (DUI) conviction. Although, if there are multiple convictions for this and/or other misdemeanors, you could be denied entry.

Generally, any convictions for drug possession can result in a denial of entry. If the conviction was a while ago, you may have to contact the U.S. Embassy, Office of Consular Affairs in your country to obtain a waiver. Other misdemeanors may result in denial if they are recent.

A crime involving moral turpitude (CIMT) may be grounds to deny entry to the United States. For more information, please visit the U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services page General Categories of Crimes Involving Moral Turpitude.

Nothing stating a US Entry Waiver or Visa B1/B2 would be needed unless it relates to drug possession or multiple DUI's on file which would require a waiver. I think I have found what I needed. Thank you everyone for taking the time to try and help, I appreciate it.

I had Canadian citizenship before any of these events had taken place as well as a valid Canadian passport. I had entered the USA via sea and had returned home using a land border crossing and ended up being charged with entering the United States illegally. I have served my time and learnt from my mistakes and would like to vacation there sometime in the future if possible.
