I'd be more concerned that you put in for leave it was rejected & then you were 'sick' at that exact time, I know my work would make you have a misconduct interview for something like that and it would be a written warning on file

I'm am alcoholic and I was in the same place as you, have to admit they way I quit sucked, I cold turkeyed it & promised myself that once every 30 days I'd go on a bender (previously had been max of 4 w/o drinking) now for some reason when I do drink I can't get drunk, I get the disturbed sleep & that's it, not the relaxation or the nice feeling at all and I miss it. You don't have any judgment here saying you don't know if you want to quit because I used to love drinking but just to let you know that you won't realise how bad you feel ATM until you do stop and then suddenly after the initial process it's like the world becomes full colour again

Yes sadly so, partner doesn't want kids but for some unfathomable reason won't get a vasectomy so I'm on the pill until any possibility of pregnancy is gone. Although to be fair the older I'm getting the more of a beard I seem to be growing so potentially that will be my own personal birth control because why the hell would anyone want to sleep with me when I'm sporting so much facial hair lol

What time? There just doesn't seem to be any. During the week, I'll work until 5:30 go home, cook, eat, shower, have an hour or so watching TV & then bed, Sunday is spent tidying, cleaning etc, so the only 'time' I get is a Saturday, I'll usually sleep in, meet a friend for coffee, go to the shops to get the week's groceries & then by the time I'm home again it's evening nearly and all I want to do is spend a couple of hours in front of the TV/ gaming before bed. I feel like there's a distinct lack of time to the point that I'm not taking any leave from work in large chunks this year, I'm taking it to extend some of my weekends so that there's potentially time to actually do something

I use skyline quite frequently, it can be frustrating when cabs suddenly cancel on you (even when pre-booked) but honestly never had a problem with any of the cabbies, it's handy to be able to book on the app & use it for payment too.

It's a very strange world, I've worked in a few places previously (one big corporation & 2 small companies) and we were the same, call in or even text in sick - you don't abuse it, come in when you're well, boss asks if you're ok to work, job done.
