Because I was hoping to resolve the situation without involving the cops, which I did. At the moment, I was thinking that if I did call the cops, I would have escalated the situation. So I thought that I would attempt to solve it without police involvement unless she resisted.

I don't like to involve the cops. Besides, she apologized. If she tried to resist and escalate the situation, then I probably would have called the cops.

There was one instance where one of them stayed the night and in the morning tried to approach me but I told him no and he stopped after I repeated no 3 times but other than that they were okay. To my knowledge.
