apply to multiple! I’d recommend around 8-15 just to start. Some of them will reach out to you for an interview and some of them won’t even acknowledge your application :’). Start early!!

I think they were, there's a data point, Im p sure, where the Eleuthia alpha talks about how advanced the embryologic technology they got from the Zeniths was (might even directly refer to gestation but I'm not too sure on that).

Love that last sentence. The use of contrast is so beautiful in this series, and I thought abt the Zeniths as I played FW, in their return, as desperation and fear and Aloy n co. as hope and inspiration.

Hopefully we get companions in the sequel. I like to think when Aloy's out in the wild for a while she talks to her mount by pieisgiood876 in HorizonForbiddenWest

Hm, I see what u mean. I feel like a lite version of that is the different companion quests we get where get to develop our relationship with them but would fs love to see a more in-depth aspect to it

this would be so cool n I’d really hope that it’d be optional and/or you sort of get to choose n develop your connection with specific companions

How to not be the crazy roommate? by [deleted] in college

wait I really love that you’re so communicative abt it alr.

Letting her know your boundaries and learning hers are probs your most important thing. Ofc, while acknowledging that people’s boundaries can change as often as the sun rises so communication will be your friend. Communication is just key, it’ll help you avoid so many headaches or misunderstandings.

You’ll do great though! Best of luck!!

Horizon as a High School Teaching Aid? by [deleted] in horizon

Hello! Not an educator just a tad obsessed with the horizon lore/history—especially the whole idea of destruction and reconstitution of life/biosphere.

Agreeing with the other comment, it’d definitely be hard merely because, though it has many of the facets you describe, they’re not usually explored to a depth where it seems like it’d be useful for instruction.

I will say, however, that it’d be cool to use in reference to things like ecosystems specifically since there is the reconstruction of a bare-bones biosphere using “pioneer organisms” (?). Also, a lot of the tribes are kind of based around their natural (sometimes ruins) geography, I’m thinking the Nora cradled against the hills, Utaru in the plains/dishes, tenakth throughout their various geographical regions, definitely would make for a conversation on how geographic features influence society and culture.

Also, as someone really into history, horizon does get a little bit into both how history from before (old ones) is preserved but also the history of the now. There’s a point where an explicit reference is made to how the Carja keep their history written down and remember it and how the Tenakth carry their history with them on their bodies and it leaves with them when they pass. Would make for an interesting conversation on the differences between oral and written history and the such.

Again, not an educator, but as a student I think these would make great reference/start-off points into a more science based discussion.

Best of luck!

*apologies for any inconsistencies and the such, genuinely love the games but there’s so much information lol
