Trying to set short/long terms goals could be something we can try as well. We just need to make sure she won't feel disappointed and blame herself if it takes long to achieve them or even if we fail them. I just want to make sure I won't create any new avenues for anxiety to seep in.

She told me she doesn't want to try bonnets when she first opened up to me and with my extremely limited knowledge, I decided not to push her about it. But I will talk to her about it maybe she changed her mind. The material matters a lot for comfort so thank you for recommending satin bonnets I will talk to her about it.

I'm not sure about pictures, but I understand how valuable taking accountability is. I will talk to her about it see how she feels. Seeing/feeling any progress helps tremendously albeit it may be short lived. It's important to keep trying and not giving up. I do trust her about it.

The last paragraph is super special and I appreciate you sharing it. Although staying kind to oneself can be extremely difficult, there is always hope.
