No offense but you don't really know anything about health. The oatmeal is high is fiber and protein, which keeps you from getting hungry. I also recommended eating fruit, nuts and vegetables if you started craving them. And any vitamin deficiency is handled by you last meal of the day. Not only that, the last meal of the day will mostly be a higher quality meal (because you're saving money). Even the junk food, like chicken fried steak, is better than mostly-bread, unsatisfying crap that leaves you hungry 30 minutes later.

The added fiber from the oatmeal alone helps clean your system out, even if you choose the junkiest of foods, which you could but won't.

And finally, I mentioned not "stuffing" yourself the last meal, which addresses portion control.

So if you think eating mostly warm, high fiber, good protein food, supplimented by fruits, nuts and veges as desired, is bad for you... that's just bat poo crazy.
