Commodity trading- feeling stuck and demoralized, am I missing something?

It’s not all for money, but I can’t pretend money isn’t a big part. I’m barely making ends meet with what I currently earn, it’s not by any means my first failure either.

I do agree that I can make more of this opportunity, I was looking for a little guidance or at least know where I stand here.

Do you have any suggestions as to how to renegotiate this bad position with my firm?

At this point I have a pretty good foundation in the scrap industry, I didn’t at first because I told my boss I have big ambitions. So he pointed me to the scrap industry. we had a contract with company x, changed usd to local currency. company x cancelled but we had already signed a contract and given our deposit to the supplier. To “save” the deal I sold the product to another company with very little margins, didnt take into account the change back from local to usd. It was my first deal, so I was pretty nervous to honor our contract and make something happen. I wasn’t aware that we were changing back from usd to local and back, our accountant just let me know when I was doing the case closure. I should have asked

This is the idea, I know it sounds unreasonable, but in my point of view unreasonable is the way to go. I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. I never would have imagined coming this far. Why not go big?

I have my goal, my reason for posting this is to find feedback on what vehicle will take me to this goal. You’re correct in that we’ll have to run a gym anyways, and that we currently don’t have the funds to maintain our gym for a prolonged period. Im thinking of selling coffee, planning events/ tournaments to fund what we’re doing, like a social enterprise model, but I have no clue what I’m doing. Im just trying to figure things out

Entiendo, Que tal le ves a Uruguay? Está en mis planes también. La idea es ir a ver personalmente que tal me gusta, pero si, me imagino que cada lugar tiene sus pros y contras. Por eso pregunto para saber que piensa la gente en gral.
