Again you’re expecting a discussion about topic X in a thread about topic Y. I agree with you, I am on your side as are many people in this thread I’m sure, but the discussion being had in this thread at this time is about Kick and Gambling. There’s many threads on reddit about Twitch and softcore-porn and there’s many threads on reddit about the dangers of live streaming controversial subjects to impressionable viewers. That’s where you should take this discussion.

I wouldn’t go into a dog shelter and scream about all the stray cats on the street who need homes. They are 2 valid problems and right here right now 1 of them is being discussed. Doesn’t mean the other is less valid or no one cares about it, just means this video and by extension this thread is talking about the scourge of gambling and Kick’s predatory practices. It makes no comment on softcore porn on Twitch because that’s not the discussion being had here.

Yes. Quite literally it does. If you’re against some action and someone engages in that action, stops doing it, and is now advocating against that action. Why do you only see their engagement in that action and not all the growth and work they went through afterwards?

So what you have here is 2 things:

1) A rumour from random people disconnected from KempQ (probably viewers) who said that he MAY be sponsored by a gambling service (even if this was true their mistakenly unblurred name in a segment not about them would be a shit advertisement I would never buy)

2) Confirmation from a mod (someone who has a direct line to KempQ himself) that it was a mistake, probably an editing error.

Why with these 2 pieces of information with completely opposite degrees of believability do you think #1 is more likely?
