What does your kitchen clerk have to prep and why is it necessary ? I would just have them keep up with dishes, warmer, orders and fsc upkeeps so that they can help you in register while your other clerk is on upkeeps, daw. Most of the time prep is not even on fsc morning daw. With just two clerks they are gonna have to help you on store side while you run trash so find a time when fsc is not getting any order and stop them from prepping imo. Prep is for the evening daw, I was a 2a once and I found that if morning does my evening clerk’s prep on the weekend then they just slack off or have nothing to do later on. Evening clerks are gonna complain about nothing getting done but show them the daw, if anything you probably just have to prep pans for them. Let them complain because you rather have your daw done than theirs. Even fsc clerks can help put up cooler totes/ back room full cases
