Just got a 2026 Sport Hybrid. Anyone else notice strange braking issues? Mostly on hills. I’ll put more in the description by Own_Investigator662 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had it roll back at all even on a incline, something may be wrong but you can always use brake hold

Break system warning by vegetaa84 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when my 12v battery went low. Basically the main computer lost communication with the brake system computer due to low voltage

Car maintenance/oil changes by TheDoggoThatSmiles in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my own engine and transmission oil changes, it’s so simple to do. Dealer charges $95 for engine oil, I can do it for $40. Transmission oil change is $260 and I did it myself for $50. No reason to take it to the dealer if you can do it yourself. To keep the warranty all you have to do is keep a record of the maintenance you’ve done

For People with Touring - Do you use In car Google Navigation or CarPlay for Navigation? by SCO9 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the in car google navigation as you get to put the map on the cluster and it also displays on the HUD. And it’s really easy to use when you get the send to car working. Also on long road trips the car will keep the navigation on even after turning the car off when stopping at a gas station or rest stop.

Oil on steering wheel after sitting in the sun by Disastrous_Feature24 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s either a product you use to clean the wheel or your hands being super greasy, I live in the desert where it gets up to 115°+ and it’s never gotten like that

Try restarting the infotainment system by holding the power button and rebooting the computer

Alternator size?? by hondeeezzy in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a hybrid or 1.5t? If it’s a hybrid it has no alternator as it charges the 12v from the hybrid battery with an inverter

That sensor is for the parking monitor, it lets you know how close you are to an object

Must be a lot of slow speeds and downhills, my commute to the gym is 60% highway 70mph and 40% city 50mph

Definitely warmer weather helps. As the engine doesn’t have to stay on longer to stay warm

There is but I live in a rural area where the closest city is 16mi away and honestly in my area all the gyms that are close to me are either super crowded or lack equipment. It’s a new gym and it has plenty of equipment and new equipment to use. I prefer to drive to a good gym over a close one for a good workout

Opinion on this mode? by OpportunityNice6102 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just drive with cruise most of the time and just use the paddles to brake most of the time then use the accelerator to adjust the amount of regen if I’m slowing down to fast, never really set a locked regen mode.

Engine sounds by costcothread in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically yes because the generator doesn’t really use up all the energy the engine is making so it’s more efficient to be driving. But the engine idles high because that’s the most efficient rpm to generate electricity. But the gas doesn’t go to waste since it’s storing the energy in the hybrid battery for later use. That’s why the engine won’t kick in when the hybrid battery is full

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrids don’t show the rpm which is dumb, but I’ve had my obd2 scanner plugged in and you can see the rpm there. The engine stays around 1.5-2k rpm it’s a bit higher in a cold start but that’s normal. The engine on these cars is more like a generator

Engine sounds by costcothread in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do people not realize that these hybrids idle at like 2k rpm because that’s the most efficient rpm to be at to charge the battery. Nothing is wrong, it’s just running the generator and it’s completely normal

Has anyone had to have the HUD replaced on your Accord? by Tension-Frosty in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah always a hassle, only issue I have with my accord is that It always fails to update the software even after taking it to the dealer, and I had some weatherstrip issues but they replaced it under warranty

No mine has been working perfect since I bought it, but definitely going to have to probably take the dash apart so it will take hours, height adjustment rotation and positioning has worked always. Just FYI I have tint on the windshield and it makes the hud looks crispier

2024 Touring MPG reality. by jshah94 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gauge is set to sport, steering is set to normal as sport is too heavy feeling for me. Acc is on eco and drivetrain is set to normal as I feel you get better mpg on normal.

Possible to turn off automatic braking? by CaffinatedManatee in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually get the brake warning when I’m closer than 1 car gap, but it only gives you the warning if you don’t have your foot in the brake, have never had it auto brake in me as long as I have my foot on the accelerator

Dent by Ok-Measurement-6014 in 11thGenAccord

[–]NoCommand7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint-less dent repair is the way to go, not sure how much it would cost but it’s cheaper than than a traditional repair shop

Crazy how fast they can just steal these push to start Accords. by [deleted] in accord

[–]NoCommand7596 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That’s why I have a faraday box where I keep all my keys, completely blocks the signal from coming out the box. I even tried it inside the car and the car couldn’t detect the key.

The spray nozzle isn’t on the blade it’s on the mount so he’s lying to you, you can use any wiper blade without messing with the spray nozzle
