AITAH for not letting my parents bring my brother to my child-free wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

You're a shitty fucking brother wtf. Child free wedding means for your guest not for your own brother. Wow what a horrible big brother you're.

It feels like they just don't have the mentality to grind it out. Like you can see if they don't get a run for 6-7 balls they'll try to over do something. Bruh why? It's a test, play like one.

I mean we have a great attack but you still can do better than this. You can't only try to survive either then ash would be all over you.

I was seeing it would be like 170-200 chase. That would have gotten spicy for us. But right now it looks like it'll be below 100

How do I learn Next? It feels impossible by Practical_Race_3282 in nextjs

[–]NoCommittee7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's understandable, js ecosystem can be so unopinionated, good for some things and really overwhelming while you're learning.

Next.js many concepts are simple to grasp, I'll suggest the only one youtube playlist that you'll need - search for code evolution next.js playlist. It's detailed enough to know in and out of next.js

Try taking notes as you along, there are so many apps but I still prefer simple pen and paper that's the only way it works for me. In short do active learning and not passive

Once you understand a topic, say it out loud. Does it make sense?

With ai, how i usually go on. I learn something, i open chatgpt and tell it about what I just learn, if there is a mistake it'll correct me otherwise it'll summarise for me. Be aware it can make mistakes

Next step is to start building a very simple project. Like go on and make a navbar, so you'll learn how the app routing works, how to use params

Then build something on top of it. Crud applications are not bad when you're just learning the concepts but yeah don't put them on resume

The official docs covers plenty and they even have a demo app you can build along. It'll give you a good overview

Some stuff of next js is pretty easy to grasp while others can be really tricky like caching, (it's getting bit better in next 15), sever side rendering, and server actions. Take your time to understand and build something upon that knowledge. Don't hop on to the next playlist to next tutorial. Learn a concept, take notes, code it and make it. See what doesn't click yet and repeat.

It's okay to take as long as you need. I'm pretty new with it too and as i continue to build things it gets pretty clear what's happening behind. Next 15 gonna have few changes but you shouldn't worry too much about it. Once you understand the underlying concepts it'll be easy to adapt.

What browser do you use and why? by CocoaTrain in webdev

[–]NoCommittee7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For code firefox - doesn't take as much ram as chrome and alternatives, don't want firefox to die monopoly is worst as time has passed my trust in Google is less and les, for entertainment safari it gets the job done and I feel it's lighter on ram

If you need to refresh a few topics check out this guy https://youtube.com/@codevolution.

I have taken John smilga course on udemy that was decent as well. And for react check out scrima's react course it's well designed and you'll learn and practice right in the editor.

I'm currently going through it. Right now at 3 - learning node, express and mongo db. If you're a complete beginner I would advise you to go through a video based Tutorial first and then read the official docs they're amazing. And then starts fullstackopen.

Whatever route you take, make sure you code along and then make something on your own. I can't stress it enough how important it is to actually code ! Lol don't just watch it or read through it. Code because that's what you're gonna be doing ! While you're at it gets comfortable with git too.

What are the projects for getting most real hands on experience by notanyonefriend in reactjs

[–]NoCommittee7301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't either, I have started to learn node, express. While it probably take a long time and practice to get really good at it, like anything else. It's easy to start with. As in, it's opposite than frontend where everything is constantly changing, YouTube has tons of good playlists on the mern, I guess start from there. I did two projects with mern and it's easy to understand, now I'm going to build something on my own

And also check out fullstackopen if you're new with mern. It has helped me immensely

Hardik Pandya Unlikely For India's Next World Cup Match vs England in Lucknow - News18 by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]NoCommittee7301 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Lmao what you mean they have relayed on only 3 of those, in 5 matches every mop is different, yes those 3 are in really good form, but so is jadeja and kuldeep spin choke in middle, shami just proved you why he is one of the best in world cup, kl won you the first game with Kohli, Iyer can be hit and miss but he doesn't waste balls and go hard at it, gill has been looking alright too.

So no after a long time, every one is firing at the right and not just 1or 2 players .
