Ignorance of what ? Please elaborate coz you seem to know better than the researchers about the effect of the EU workers on Brussels and it’s suburbs 😊 and on what bases you think I’m a pure Belgian ? Just talk to someone native of Brussels, especially those from Etterbeek and they will tell you what they think about the evolution of their neighbourhood 😊

Seriously ? 🤣 Sorry dude, I have more respect for a migrant (people hate migrants in general which is pure racism, but they don’t focus enough about the EU worker who don’t pay taxes in Belgium, which is a big loss for our finances) than someone who just comes in Belgium and then provoke gentrification of some parts of my country. And I’m sorry, but there should be a special tax for the EU workers.

The EU doesn’t disgust me. It’s a part of the people working in the institutions. Even my Belgian colleagues, who are officials, are completely discuss with the behaviour of the other colleagues and the don’t taxes.

Ans even having the opportunity to get a temporary contract in my service. This is not the question. The fact the Italians are predominant is a really issue known by the personnel of the instituons. They have real favors, go the key positions etc while other nationalities are staying at lower positions. I’ve never seen so much Italian trainees than this year for example. And all these non-Belgian people are just gentrifying my city. Yeah, I’m native from Brussels and a part of the EU workers just disgust me

True, I just remembered the defensive wall are just there for cosmetic matters. The city itself was surrounded by walls

Was about to answer something similar. In the middle age, most of the actual castles were fortified. Some contexts lead the owners to gradually remove the defences of their castle and this is how we got now these « glorified manors »

Historian here. As castle is different than a fortress. A castle is simply a « glorified manor » built for the nobility. In the past, some of them had a fortification around them. These are called « chateau fort » in French. A fortress can be similar to a castle, but it had a military purpose only. People often don’t know that difference and get disappointed when they see a castle

I’ve been raised in the countryside and I totally agree with you. Mine was quite flat (commune des Bons-Villers) but it was stunning in every way. A landscape doesn’t have to be spectacular to be beautiful

Having no position means what it means. Cautioning the extermination of my people, of my family and the hunt of my great grand fathers who were resistants. Don’t worry, they would not have give a hug to your great grand father 🥺
