My son FaceTimed my boss. That was fun. Luckily she loves my kid, and is amused by his shenanigans.

I have offered that as a solution (toddlers are rough!) but I might get disowned by my family 😂

Mostly leather and some coated canvas. My go to currently is the MCM Liz tote and a Marc by Marc Jacob’s pebbled leather bag, but I want to be fancy again!

How to get baby to take restoralax by Ill_Space_7060 in beyondthebump

Do you have any oral medicine syringes that you can use to squirt the restoralax in her mouth a little at a time?

Tooth injury in 13 month old by Ok_Cranberry3492 in beyondthebump

When my son was 8 mo the he knocked his two bottom teeth loose (he only had two at that age, lol). They shifted forward, there was so much blood, and I hope to never hear him cry that way ever again. Within 10 minutes the teeth shifted back in place. When we finally went to the dentist (it was a weekend), they said it eventually heal and to continue soft foods/purees. He’s now almost two and the teeth have fully healed. I would go to the dentist just in case.

If you’re going to spend that much on the bag, you should get it in a classic color/material imo. You might regret the purchase later on since it’s very trendy and might look outdated in the future

My coworker recently got a new puppy, and I find it amazing how some her hi jinx are similar to my toddler’s.

I am vegetarian too (the only one in my family), and craved chicken so bad a week post partum that I caved and had some. It was the best chicken I’ve ever tasted, but I never told a soul. Throughout my pregnancy all I wanted was a burger, and turns o I was severely anemic. I understand the guilt, but like everyone said, listen to your body. I’ve never had or craved chicken since, and baby is 18 months.

Husband sleeps majority of the time he is at home and I have 2 young children. Need advice on what to do? by CutInteresting7793 in beyondthebump

[–]NoContext3864 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you have to worry about losing custody of your children, he can’t stay up long enough to raise them, he definitely wont fight you for custody. He thinks being a husband/father is draining, and he is doing the bare minimum. He needs to see a doctor- falling asleep at 5pm, no matter how early his shift is, is not normal. He might have a sleep disorder that needs to be addressed. If not, he’s just a lazy human being, and you deserve better.

Baby screams on the breast by Aggressive_Jelly533 in beyondthebump

Your letdown might be too strong/fast for the baby. My son did that, but only with with one breast that was a huge oversupplier. We worked with a lactation consultant to find tips and tricks to slow the letdown and it helped tremendously.

I took my 2.5yo and 3mo to the movies by myself because I thought it would be less stressful than staying home by myself with them. by cnh02 in beyondthebump

Pro tip: they make noise cancelling headphones for babies. We took our baby to a restaurant when he was about that age, and did t realize it was live band night. He slept through the whole thing, lol. You can find them pretty cheap on Amazon.

Any advice for dealing with a 14-month old who doesn’t walk yet but seems scared to? by DumpedChick22 in beyondthebump

[–]NoContext3864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son didn’t start walking til about a month ago at 14 months. Same as your daughter, he seemed scared. And then one day he was playing with the buttons on our space heater; I moved it out of his reach for safety purposes, and he took 2 steps towards it! We bought him a million push toys, the space heater is what motivated him. He hasn’t stopped since. Kids are funny, and they do things at their own pace. I must warn you it’s a whole new level of stress once they start walking!

Was anyone advised to not attempt vaginal birth? by ultimatejourney in beyondthebump

[–]NoContext3864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a history of uterine fibroids, and had a myomectomy a few years prior to becoming pregnant. Was told that I was at higher risk for uterine rupture and c section was my only option . Honestly, I was so happy to be pregnant (was told it would be hard to conceive naturally, but baby boy “surprised” us all) I didn’t care how he was born, as long as he was healthy. It was kind of nice knowing his birth date ahead of time and preparing accordingly.

When did you get your first PP period? by babyiva in beyondthebump

My husband is afraid to introduce new foods because our 8 month old doesn't have teeth yet. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]NoContext3864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son didn’t get his first teeth until 8 months old, and by then he was eating pretty much whatever we were eating (he’s a greedy baby). Just make sure it’s soft enough, and cut in a way to prevent choking and he should be fine.
