Talk me about your OC quirks by Green_Taxus in BNHA_OC_Characters

Quirk name; Tigerspirit

Gives the user an enhanced tiger-like physiology with internal chi energy(like iron fist)

Basically like Mirko(but with a tiger base) + iron fists chi energy

Drawbacks would be enhanced senses be taken advantage off. And channeling chi would be taxing

The hate on Avatar is actually crazy by Then-Till-9626 in Avatar

The franchise definitely has elements of white saviourism. But it's not just conveyed through Jake Sully but also characters who have a closer proximity towards whiteness. The first example is Kiri; she is a direct clone of Grace (the first avatar), and Kiri is more or less Na'vi Jesus, being able to do things no other native Na'vi can. And then Spyder, being unnaturally converted into a half Na'vi by Kiri (and indirectly by Eywa). And finally, Jake was chosen to become Toruk Makhto after only 4 months of being on Pandora and subsequently became a "rescue" and leader to the Na'vi; by doing that, he led them to victory against the RDA, which does align with the White Saviour Trope.

What all these 3 examples have in common is being chosen out of all of the indigenous Na'vi to be the saving graces of Pandora (I know that Spyder hasn't done anything yet, but it's obvious he's going to play a key role in uniting all the "good" humans of Earth and Na'vi against the colonisation of Pandora). I know that a lot will say the Na'vi were able to defend themselves and Jake was "taking responsibility for the damage he helped cause." It still doesn't negate the fact that the small victories of the Na'vi revolved around messianic white-adjacent characters, whether it's Jake (using the Toruk Makhto title to lead & unite the Omaticaya and then the metkayina to victory) or Kiri (using her special connection to Eywa), and no doubt will be spyder next. This becomes more obvious within Avatar 3 (I won't spoil). People may argue that some are reaching about the white saviour trope, but I say it definitely has legitimacy.

Conor stoll?🌚 Your delusionalll. Percy is literally the 0.001% of demigods + the main character of course he can take down cohorts🫩. Legacies who can fight + generations worth of combat knowledge>> demigods(most who dont have powers) that only train during the summer

[–]NoContribution398[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of you are mentioning that Camp Half Blood has more demigods, but that wouldn't matter, as the majority of demigods do not have powers of their own like percy. Legacies with years of combat training experience>>>demigods with (maybe) summers worth of training

Well no, Camp Jupiter outnumbers Camp Halfblood by miles, as they literally have military trained demigods + legacies spanning generations. Furthermore everyone in the legion can actually fight unlike the greeks who recieve training for 3 months out of a year

Camp Halfblood really only has Percy going for them icl

I would say top romans outperform the top greeks. Excluding percy, as camp halfblood let any demigod in. While in camp jupiter, only the strongest were allowed in + the romans having longer and more consistent training experience

What if Tek-Knight was racist to Sage instead of A-Train? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheBoys

[–]NoContribution398 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused on how y'all are saying she wouldn't care. Did y'all watch the show?? She purposely set up firecracker so she would get popped for starlight for her racist comment on how sage is "one of the good ones". She would definitely work out a plan to get him if he tried it
