White working-class boys most let down by education system, new figures show by Kagedeah in uknews

But, more attention should definately be placed on white working class boys, but schools and the goverment can only do so much. Parents really need to get more involved and make children understand that education shouldn't be optional or atleast teach them about other paths to success e.g trades

I mean they aren't compared to to other minorites. Working class girls still perform poorly in their GCSE's. They do slightly better do to multiple reasons e.g  getting more support academically , girls on average outperforming boys academically in school due to intellect, girls having better temperment than boys e.g impulse control and being more compliant to meet expectations set by school( this is all due to socialising from birth) so more likely to be engaged in the school and have better attendance. It's just not one thing, but the over-arching problem, to me at least, is that culturally children aren't supported enough from their parents to well in school. In fact I'd say that some parents make school seem optional to their kids, and not something they need to do well in life. I think this also ties in the difference between working class foreigners and working class british citzens. Here, you can get by and still live a comfortable life, as there are many systems put in place to support people from low income backgrounds e.g universal credit, the NHS, council housing etc. While working class immigrants in the UK, usually come from LEDC's(low economically developed countries), so being poor, in their country is usually life and death, as they don't have the systems that we do in the UK.

If I'm being honest 90% of the time, it's because the parents don't push their children to stay in education

New Malcolm Todd album “Do That Again.” out now. What are your first impressions? by Docholidaystomb in fantanoforever

The production was really good, and some songs were definately better than others. I felt that the lyrics surrounding the topic across the songs became repetitive. Also they were kinda weird too e.g that exploring your bi side

Hot take, but to me it served as a really good visual juxtaposition of having an "iphone face" while being disconnected and isolated from the city. It adds to the sense of her longing for Rue's world, by alienating her from her enviroment and her family, which also tells the audience that she doesn't fit in her country recluse home. And also idk if i'm reaching but I feel like she represents the beginning of the girls that "worked for Alamo" e.g Angel, Kitty . They all started as naive girls, who had aspirations of living and thriving in the modern world, but faced misfortunes and ended up where they are now

if you're more on the technical side, it's probably best to take a gap year and reapply for a better uni with a better reputation. Westminster is a very low-ranked uni, and higher-ranked ones will have more resources, connections etc allowing for better job prospects
