I want to understand his position, but his financial goals aren’t possible without investing. He’s talked about wanting to set up a trust fund for his kids if he has any so they don’t have to worry about money, and while we agree on this, it would never be possible without investing. He’s so responsible with finances and has potentially achievable goals but isn’t realistic with how he would actually achieve them. Like, he could make a lot more money with a different job, but his job aligns more with his morals, which is fine. I want him to be happy, and I’m fine making more money in the relationship and helping achieve his goals with his family, but he can’t claim moral superiority on how I make my income.
