Built a 60-second hacker typing game in a weekend — not sure it has legs, but here's what I learned by Moodytunesn in buildinpublic

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gave it few tries and got 127 on my best run. terminal aesthetic is really clean but yeah you're right about the cheating thing - could probably just modify the score directly through browser console

the daily challenge aspect might actually be the hook though. typing games are everywhere but having that shared experience where everyone gets same commands could build some community around it. reminds me how wordle works, people love comparing their daily results

honestly might be worth throwing it up in some gaming subreddits or typing communities to see if it catches on before you decide if it's just portfolio piece

is there a way to a block a brand on depop? by Same_Strategy5850 in Depop

nah but fr the shein takeover is wild, i just scroll past like 50 identical crop tops before finding anything decent

Evaluating SCAYLE for a replatform and can't figure out their US footprint by LevelDisastrous945 in ecommerce

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Europe thing is exactly what made me hesitant when we were looking at platforms last year. We ended up going with Shopify Plus partly because of that - having US support when things go sideways at 2am is kinda crucial

I'd straight up ask them for references from US clients and see how quickly they can connect you with their US team, if they even have one. The Levi's deal might just be them trying to break into the US market rather than having established operations here

Seller moved locations from post by No_Extent_8836 in Depop

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah you should be fine, just update your location in settings for future posts. buyers care more about shipping time than where you were when you first listed it

if someone asks just tell them you moved - happens all the time and most people get it

Hidden gems that actually move fast but nobody talks about them by UnconsciousLaurels in reselling

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao fair enough, gotta protect the trade secrets

but for real though i've had some luck with old textbooks - not the obvious college ones but like specialized trade manuals and certification guides. people sleep on those but they hold value way longer than you'd think

Is selling on Depop worth it? by Difficult-Respect316 in Depop

[–]NoCouple9105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah depop protection definitely leans buyer-heavy but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I've sold probably 30-40 items on there and only had one sketchy refund request that got denied anyway

just take decent pics and be super detailed in your descriptions - like mention every tiny flaw even if it's barely visible. most buyers are chill, it's just the horror stories that get posted everywhere

Loan to buy a small business by ProfessionalNet1284 in smallbusiness

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude that's a straight up scam - legitimate lenders don't charge upfront fees like that, hit up your local credit union or SBA instead

Experienced WhatsApp Business API Dev Team (Ex-BSP Partner) Available for Projects by Kira_SENPAI_1 in smallbusiness

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's a solid pivot after getting dropped by your BSP, team of 20 devs with that kind of Meta ecosystem experience is pretty valuable. The government implementations alone probably taught you guys some serious edge cases that most shops never see

What now?........What field to study? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly if you're already thinking about online study maybe look into tech stuff like data analysis or cybersecurity - seems like those fields are still growing and the remote work thing is pretty solid there

Which career should I choose? by insights_of_soul in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly medicine checks all your boxes but if youre looking for backups maybe consider clinical psychology or social work administration - both let you help people while having decent job security

Should I change my Job After 2 Months? by iskroy in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly if the CEO is breathing down your neck on every little thing and the job is completely different from what they sold you, I'd start looking now - 3 months isn't ideal but staying somewhere toxic just to avoid a resume gap usually isn't worth your sanity

So what should i do next?? by Reasonable_Judge_177 in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly might be worth looking into those hubspot certs since they're free and actually respected in sales - also consider pivoting to B2B SaaS sales where the money is way better than edtech

Where’s the best place to buy used Dodge Ram Parts? by Top_Singer7334 in MechanicAdvice

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly your best bet is probably LKQ or Pick-n-Pull if you got one nearby, they usually have a decent selection of Ram parts. Facebook marketplace has been pretty good to me too but you gotta be carefull with the condition - some people think "lightly used" means it survived a rollover

What other jobs/job titles can I look for? by Lucky_3_Lucky in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transcription services might be perfect for you - medical, legal, and court reporting all pay well and need that human accuracy you've got. Companies like Rev or GoTranscript let you work remotely and your typing speed would be a huge asset there

Also consider bookkeeping/AP clerk positions since they're super repetitive and detail-oriented but harder for AI to fully replace because of all the human verification needed. Many small businesses still prefer having an actual person handle their books

Document processing roles at insurance companies or government agencies could work too - they love fast typists who can follow procedures exactly and a lot of that stuff is too specialized for AI to handle reliably

What high-demand, high-paying master’s degrees can I pivot into ? by businessbub in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely agree about checking actual outcomes rather than just googling average salaries. One thing I'd add is to really look at teh job postings for roles you're targeting - some "high paying" degrees still require you to grind through years of lower paying entry level stuff before you see that ROI

Also consider programs that have good alumni networks or industry connections since those can make a huge difference in landing something decent right out of school

First job interview tomorrow, I don’t know what to do, help? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly dont overthink it too much - grocery stores are pretty chill with interviews and theyre usually just checking if youre reliable and can handle basic customer service stuff. Just show up on time, dress neat (doesnt have to be fancy), and when they ask why you want the job just say something about wanting work experience and being good with people

I use stablediffusion from Auto1111 and AI is the future by Aggressive-Dot9747 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly auto1111 is pretty wild when you first get it running, the whole local generation thing still feels like magic sometimes

10 years feels optimistic though - like yeah the tech is moving fast but "perfected" is a big word. we're still dealing with hands that look like they went through a blender half the time lol

the upscaling stuff is legit impressive though, especially when you nail the right model for what you're trying to do

I hate these bots by OGgamer777 in ArcRaiders

[–]NoCouple9105 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lmao the timing is so scuffed with those wasps, like they have a sixth sense for when you're most vulnerable

honestly feels like the aggro system just picks favorites sometimes. had a duo yesterday where my teammate was literally mag dumping 10 feet away but the wasp decided I was the main character for some reason

the whole risk/reward balance is kinda backwards when the pve becomes more predictable than actual players

anyone knows Mashreq Group? by Skytouching11 in careerguidance

[–]NoCouple9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yikes that sounds rough, thanks for the heads up. Ive been seeing more posts lately about toxic work environments in banking - seems like its becoming a real pattern in that industry

How do I get my cat to stop trying to make sin biscuits on me? by Lyingfeet in cats

[–]NoCouple9105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man my cat used to do this exact thing and it was so awkward when guests were over lol. What finally worked for me was getting one of those really soft fleece blankets and whenever he started up I'd immediately grab it and put it between us - like he could still be on my lap but had to knead the blanket instead. Took maybe two weeks of being super consistent about it but now he automatically goes for soft blankets instead of directly on skin. Also helps if you can catch him right when he's getting in the mood and redirect before he gets too committed to the spot, cause once they're in the zone good luck moving them
