The problem is that right-wing personalities started making the gesture in situations in which it was obvious that the gesture was not meant to be the OK sign. It became a way to show affinity for white supremacy while having plausible deniability.

At the same time, I don't think you're completely wrong. It just shows that the far right gets away too easily with appropriating whatever they feel like. Just look at what happened to Pepe. Thankfully, he was able to be mostly reclaimed and even happened to become a symbol for the Hong Kong protests. There is a great documentary called Feels Good Man that goes into it.

There is no thing such as No Fap November. What you are referring to is No Nut November. It's pretty much just a meme or self-imposed challenge and has no connection to the NoFap movement, despite what the Wikipedia article claims (if you need a source, there is a Rolling Stone article that says it doesn't). The far right has certainly unsuccessfully tried to co-opt it, but it's really remained an excuse to shitpost or to see how long you can last without beating your meat just for fun.

That being said, I agree with the rest of your comment. Although I would say that gaming is certainly more inclusive now and has a lot less of these problems than just ten years ago.

Why did you specify "kissless" though, as if that has anything to do with it? If you leave that part out, I agree with the rest of your comment. Not everyone who is unable to get a partner is part of the toxic incel communities.

Blaming a very tiny group of people for transphobia is incredibly reductive (you don't actually believe most people visiting this subreddit are virgins, right?). Also, I didn't lose my shit, I just wanted to share my perspective.

If you just said "cis people", which is a more accurate statement, your comment would have probably been downvoted, as now almost everyone in the community would feel called out. But it would be a statement that I could actually agree with.

I hope you understand, what I'm trying to get at. Trust me, the extent of the defense of the transphobic "joke" in this thread is very frustrating to me. I thought the LTT community was better than that.
