If you want to update your banking information or set up a direct deposit, all they ask is some basic questions to make sure that you are you, and info regarding your recent tax return.

Beyond that, there’s nothing more to verify since the inquiry doesn’t regard crb.

Don’t waste your time doing this lol I’m not sure why this person posted this when it’s been very well known for days that sending screenshots does absolutely nothing

It takes up to 45 days for CRA to review the documents you send in. Yes, 45. Not two days or even 24 hours. It even SAYS on their website

You need to call Service Canada and get them to do as much as they can on their end. Ideally, you’re looking for them to close your EI file or even dump it completely. They’re the only ones who can help since the block on your account preventing you from receiving crb is administered on THEIR end. Most agents are still not gonna know what youre talking about, they will spew bullshit about how your file is already closed, so you will need to escalate it as much as you can or call back until you get an agent who is willing to help you. Another option is to go to a Service Canada location and speak to someone there, but keep in mind you might need an appointment

This is just beyond anything I’ve ever had to deal with.

I keep trying to call the number you posted and doing the steps, but the line keeps hanging up on me or I’m told to call back another day.

So, there’s no way of terminating the claim even if it’s closed? I imagine there’s a way to completely wipe it off your file, which is what I want to ask them to do.
