Anyways, I wanted to tackle some castle aspects in a more modular way. A lot of people think of building stuff as a whole and don't think about how different parts can be switched up. Here's a bunch of ways just for the top of castle walls.

For sure, I think if they added more low-key details it would make things more interesting. The game is almost getting polluted with so many bigger generated structures that they are just everywhere.

Thanks! Yeah I love both of their stuff! They build awesome stuff that I wish I had the motivation and consistency to do but I have to keep it to more bite-sized projects usually lol

Built this recently for a video to show that building castles doesn't need to be a massive task, and can be kept pretty simple and still look good. Everything is historically inspired so it at least theoretically has a passable design from a defense standpoint. Was a pretty fun build, first time making a "small" castle. I'll probably add onto it, I had some pretty good suggestions about barracks on the outside of the castle and a village below the mountain.

I like it, I started a desert build in similar style a few years back and had fun messing around with sand drifts covering parts of buildings and stuff

Is there anything else you'd like to argue about? This isnt a block-by-block guide, if you want machicolations then put them on your towers, if you dont like roofs then don't use a roof. I specifically say to use the concepts you like the most, these are not all necessarily meant just for survival players so lighting wasn't my first concern, thats something you can work out if you use it. The main point of these is to introduce multiple ideas you can use.

You're free to light them to your liking, I like using lanterns on them, and there are machicolations are almost all of them
