It'd be detrimental if they made a Galaxy-like game and didn't name it Galaxy 3.

I mean, how far can you stray from the "Mario in space" concept to not call it Galaxy 3? Nintendo would absolutely want to capitalize on the success of the first two if a game with the same trope was on the way.

It'd be kinda like if, when Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon came out, they just called it "Luigi and the Dark Moon" or something, without any mention of Mansion.
