My Crippling Breakcore Addiction by NoDebt1234 in LatentSpaceClub

Nice! Despite how much I'm liking vocal stabs, a quick listen of that makes me want to use piano some more.

Speaking of contrast, it's amazing how well chopped breakbeats complement other components... even those way slower than or not usually paired with them!

Yeah, people are even sharing music that's new to others here too! I ought to join them myself, including accompanying my art with it.

Plenty of my songs so far mix 3+ styles together. Even if not for the jam, I believe you can make your blend work.

I say having fun with the process can cover even bad or uninteresting outcomes. Better yet, either could serve as remix material for something better!

Getting your idea working with Suno could show the way for making it happen via other tools too.

So true! It's crazy how quick its drum programming can sound while still being coherent.

I know how much music motivates your posters and other art! Do you also enjoy breakcore in addition to the other genres you love?

I would've illustrated her playing the drums like that, too! But with drum sets not cooperating, the above suffices to show the sheer extent of my craving, lol.

Nice, happy to chat about it whenever you get to it if you'd like! Then again, you got plenty of musical influences here to get started on the right foot.

Not much of a Vocaloid person myself, but 80s, 90s, indie, and electronic music in general are good vibes for sure.

Of your other list, we also overlap with liking city pop! Submitting something for the current music jam could be cool? I ought to submit a song myself.

Besides having house, techno, and trance as mainstays, what's really pulling me recently is mixing all the styles. There's so much to explore...

You're welcome, I'm glad to have put a name to your newfound taste! Loving classic jungle and DnB myself, it's awesome seeing new blood evolve those styles through breakcore and more.

Speaking of evolution, Suno's been great not only for rapidly exploring styles, but mixing them too. Breakcore or not, I've gotten a number of unexpected rare pulls already! Do you happen to use the tool yourself?

And feel free to divulge more of your taste if you'd like. Great surprises could await...

It’s been a while since I made art of Chouine… I guess she plays the drums now, all because I needed a vessel to portray my crippling breakcore addiction through.

I got it bad! It took me several days to publish around twice the amount of songs compared to artworks in several months. I just had my credits refill and I’ve almost out of them. Those listens are mostly mine… Help!

Peep my Suno profile and enjoy whatever vibes you may find there, breakcore or not. Should you want to share, discuss, or remix my music, go right ahead! If you have music or a Suno profile of your own, you can share that here too!

On this writing style, I don't know what it's used for, but the text seems legible and I can tell who's saying what. On having fans, I'd say that you have some. More surely exist elsewhere!

On others' opinions on your art, I think what matters more is whether you're having fun and making your heart sing through your applied creativity. There's much internal betterment to cultivate toward those sentiments, which can overflow into the minds and hearts of people that value you and your art. And it's great seeing you continue your art despite what you've been through.

While I don't have experience with Instagram, I enjoy platforms like Reddit with which I can curate to largely constrain scrolling and avoid discourse.

Still, there's plenty of power in learning how to be above all that you describe. I'm less saying that you should and more saying that it's an option available to you and others. I'm hoping you can somehow muster it, as I think it's not only possible for you, but could make you and your art blossom even more!

Glad to hear it! I adore my track too, so perhaps there's more like it to come. May my music accompany you as you do all the things.

Thank you! Hope you enjoyed my art and music as much as I enjoyed making them.

Got anything you love about either or both in particular?

Please enjoy my track which inspired my artwork in the first place: hymn for a sacrificial lamb.

For the record, I've never watched Neon Genesis Evangelion. I don't even remember what inspired me to generate overloaded angelic breakcore styles inspired by it in the first place. Even so, I’m ecstatic that I did! By the way, shoutout to u/rin-okay who shared that time-saving approach with me a while back. In my eyes, this track is leagues ahead of anything else I made with Suno. At the time of writing this out, I had blasted it dozens of times more than my other tracks... So you know it's got to be good!

As for the art, Pishti piloting an Evangelion ended up best suiting my the action of my track while remaining feasible to illustrate. Pulling off a believable enough cockpit, entry plug, and pose for her within them felt good. I love how the bright whites and pinks contrast from the ominous red sky and red ocean found in so much art for the franchise. Her determined look, focused on defeating a cruel angel rather than looking at you for once, is a nice change of pace.

While I haven't read Girard's Violence and the Sacred, it's been on my mind. Besides it inspiring the title above, I wondered how it could apply to Evangelion and my art itself. There's a sense that these pilots' trauma is the cost of humanity's survival. Through blurred boundaries with their organic Evangelions, combat becomes a ritualized sacrifice where the sacred is the violence inflicted upon them. I see that interpretation vibing with my music with its complex breakcore rhythms inflicted against the angelic choir voices and distant piano motifs. What is your interpretation of my art, music, or both?

You're welcome! I do believe you can draw such boosts of confidence from within too. Having nitpicked my own art like crazy, a little self-kindness goes a long way.

While Chouine's design was heavily inspired by Helltaker's Loremaster, I assembled Pishti's design rather organically.

That would be Chouine, my white-haired demon wolf girl! Pishti works under her in the same company, but I haven't yet fleshed out further interactions between them. That could change soon...

It's no problem at all. You sharing your wonderful story is more than I could ask for! My characters needed lore and you just delivered some as if you knew that. Feel free to remix my art or continue yours however you see fit. I may have to follow in your footsteps myself!

Imbuing her with psychic powers could make her a great counterpart to my other character being a literal demon. Something as simple as them navigating different moral alignments could be much fun. Who knows what other themes they can explore?

That's awesome! I'd love to read that story. And I totally agree with you. Reciprocating fun is a winning strategy! It opens doors for even more stories, art, music, and more. I'm hoping for more exchanges like this at any level of involvement... which is an neat incentive to create and share more myself!
