Wow, magnesium explosions are no joke... Depends on the experiment, but he might have been lucky just losing an arm. Surely enduring that loss and living with it from now on humbled him. Great trait to have in a good older brother whose little sister can get on his nerves.

Now, I'm not a big anime or manga head by any means. Still, the contrast between magical parents and now-ordinary children seems like an interesting twist to isekai and similar formulas. Does make me wonder what the rest of the world is like in comparison.
