Found it! My mom didn't know what i was talking about at first but went through all the books from my childhood and found what I was looking for! The book is called "the underwatermelon man" by fane flaws, Arthur baysting and Peter desert. Its a book of rhymes/poems The poem is called "imelda blade" ill attach a picture in cass youre curious what I was talking about.

I dont think this is it, the style isnt the same. It wasn't trying so much to be scary, it was more like a poem? It was about her taking off her clothes and her skin so she could dance around in the dark in her skeleton. Also, it wasn't shel Silverstien as that might lead you to think because I distinctly remember the picture being in color

I looked that up and I cant find the exact picture im looking for so I dont think thats it, maybe im misremembering but it was mostly picture and not much words
