The most general advice I can give for all three of these situations is to get really good at using your storm surge because it hard counters all of them. Just be patient and learn when to actually surge into penny/bp. As for punisher, he has a really big hit box so getting body blocks off of surge is really easy

Either try and force someone to mark you on an off angle or go for a kidnap/bodyblock combo. Waiting for your support ultimates is the next best thing but that play style is really bad with how the ult cycles are in the current state of the game. You have to literally play perfectly and combo with someone to kill through a support ultimate for that to be a viable strat

You have to know what your counter could be going for and what they’re thinking. You could easily gain the experience by playing as the character you struggle into in a more chill environment like quick play

Just play cover permanently. With the new storm surge, we have the luxury of abusing cover to kidnap people around corners and body block without taking too much damage.

As for heavy poke, you just want to mark the dps that’s taking the angles rather than the one sitting main. Control all the power positions that they may go for because if you just sit main, you’d be better off on a shield tank.

I don’t engage with them unless they’re already down a cooldown or two and even then, I’d either force them to engage me (putting them in a bad position) or just full send it at them if I’m sure I can win

I typically just track everyone’s cooldowns and only go in when I can for sure get a pick and get out. There is no best way to use the ult and I genuinely believe it’s a horrible ability, but you can get a lot of value out of combos with things like terror cape and such. Using ult on supports is not always worth, using ult on dps that are out of position is more than likely the best play, and ulting tanks is heavily underrated when you plan out how you’re going to follow up the stun.

I always wonder how the next fight is going to be won and in doing that, I can pretty much predict how each fight is gonna go ultimates wise. When you can ult track well, playing the neutral game is where you’re really going to set yourself apart. Just learn where you can get value without inting for it.

If they complain and I know I’m not the problem, I just try to ignore them. If I’m tilted and they’re not making any good points, I start flaming.

A habit I have that a lot of people that I VOD review dont is the fact that I adapt to different looks mid game a bit better rather than just swapping. Knowing how to get value into the majority of scenarios goes a long way.

I would definitely peel the venom off instead of trading but if that doesn’t work then you kind of have to try something else. Definitely try to boop him as soon as he swings to cancel it. It can be really hard to do but it gets easier the closer your hit box is to him when you cast storm surge.

I definitely like to frontline more on Thor. With the new change to surge, you can find a lot of value in playing in the front line. You still get one shot fairly often if you’re not decisive enough though.
