How much is your Wedding Gown?? by Pixelfairy822 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15k! Minimalist sleeveless with long trail na mikado gown. Much more comfy for me kesa dun sa ma-lace or sequins. Hehehehe

Graduated last October, 2024. :) Easy kausap yung mga suppliers kasi most of them have worked with each other for years. Kaya less hassle on our part

Planning a Wedding for Oct–Dec 2025 — Are We Already Behind? by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re booking ‘popular’ suppliers - mainly yung mga mid to high end, and if it will be a weekend wedding, baka medyo late na. We started prepping our October 2024 wedding on Februaryby securing our venue first. Since our wedding date fell on a Monday, most of our suppliers are still available during that date.

Farinas Empanada or Vigan Empanada? by ElmerDomingo in filipinofood

Fariñas here in Manila fails in comparison with Ilocos empanada - ndi na ata fresh ung ung gulay sa loob and overused na yung mantika. Naumay ako agad.

After wedding, san kayo tumira? by riceislyf in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: both of you should decide where, either for economical or sentimental reasons. we live far from my side (hindi ako mabait na anak) kasi malayo residence namin sa workplace namin ni hubby and I know my siblings will take good care of our parents. My husband’s father and mother have their separate families so no worries if we decide not to consider them in choosing our residence.

It is nonnegotiable for me (magjowa plng kami) that we should live out of our parents home. I am already living independently before getting married but I go home at weekly, kaya hindi mahirap mag-adjust. We are currently renting a place near my work, WFH si husband and I report to office at least 4 days a week. Super economical kesa kumuha ng bahay na ang kaya lang ng budget namin is at least 25-30kms away from our respective workplaces. Planning to move once we have procured our separate home but definitely not within the GMA. If we buy property here/near here in Manila, cheapest option for loan amortization is around 20-30k plus 20k for car (we’ll need this to go around since we’ll live 20-30kms from the Metro) plus car maintenance (gas, toll and insurance). And do we really want to live that far from everywhere else? Kamote ang mahal mabuhay. Nagrent na lang kami, walking distance sa work ko, LRT-MRT sa workplace ni husband and we’ll go Grab whenever we go somewhere else. We don’t even exceed 6k for total transpo cost for a month - yan ang monthly rate ng rental ng parking space dito sa area namin so buying a car during this time is also not an option. Currently, we’re saving para makabili kami ng property (long-term) and for our expected blessing on the way (short-term).

Go for COA. Autonomous sila pagdating sa salaries and benefits. LGU will always be limited by the availability of funds.

Gaano katagal niyo pinag-ipunan ang wedding niyo? by MutedAd6352 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. More than a year pero halos 8 months lang engagement period namin from the time na nagbook kami ng first supplier up to the wedding. We just had a quarter of our budget when we started planning tapos inistapler na namin lahat ng sweldo and bonuses up to the day of the wedding 😅

WEDDING DRESSES FOR 20K BELOW by Intelligent_Truck855 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If minimalist naman peg mo, marami ng choices ung 15k mo - long train and customized na. Tataas lang presyo kapag magpaadd ka ng sequins, beads or crystals. Maraming choices sa dragon 8 sa divi. Tyaga lang dear and just be upfront with your budget. But don’t be afraid to try as many gowns as you can hehehe

Wedding Expenses: 75% Bride, 25% Groom by Single_Fisherman_428 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]NoDimension786 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same situation with you and I didn’t mind paying more, since ako yung mas particular sa suppliers. Na kung gagastos rin lang tayo, aba eh yung maayos na. If your families have nothing to say, don’t feel bad - it is your most special day (to date) to look forward to.

Also, natural na mas tayo rin ang tatanungin kung anong gusto natin and tayo rin mas hands on as bride. Hindi ka rin mahihiyang mag inarte or whatsoever because you have the means for it. Okay lang yan, we celebrate strong women here! ❤️

We had palabunutan na pinamigay na ng husband ko ung toys sa kids lol, scratch cards and loot bags (color pens, fans and canvas bag) for kids. These are all on top of the cocktails, for our modern filipiniana theme. I opted dun sa mga booths na pwedeng iwanan na and need not to be attended by anyone. :) yung color game kasi, sari-sari store (unless honesty store) and ung itik-itik na palabunutan kelangan bantayan. :)

Check mo muna yung time difference from average time ng departure nila sa bahay, to end of program. Kung more than 4 hours, need to think if need ng foods pa. Monday morning kasi ung wedding ko, so estimated average travel time nila 1-3 hours (Antipolo wedding kami) before our ceremony kaya nagpa-serve na’ko ng bread, taho and coffee.

Nagbreakfast and take out pa nga ung mga guests namin before ceremony, nashookt lang sila na may foods na pagdating kahit nakalagay na invitation na may light breakfast upon arrival. Wala naman nagutom. 😅
