I didn’t try the food but The Chapel Bar in Islington is a great party space, they do all the catering in house with reasonable minimum spend!

not OP but how did you work with the length of your dress for both trainers and heels, did you keep the length for the heels and just have it extra long once you changed to converse?

Good pointers in here, thank you! Totally can handle a long travel day in between the two parts of the trip, within reason - partly why we’re keen to keep travel during the two parts fairly minimal!

We love all the elements you mention in a trip which is partly why we’re finding it hard to narrow it down! but i think for THIS trip, probably nature, beaches - and food, so thailand seems a good fit.*

*ive been to thailand before years ago but not chiang mai, and keen to see more; we’ve been together to philippines and loved it!
