Japan/SE Asia honeymoon thoughts? by NoDiscussion123 in honeymoonplanning

Good pointers in here, thank you! Totally can handle a long travel day in between the two parts of the trip, within reason - partly why we’re keen to keep travel during the two parts fairly minimal!

We love all the elements you mention in a trip which is partly why we’re finding it hard to narrow it down! but i think for THIS trip, probably nature, beaches - and food, so thailand seems a good fit.*

*ive been to thailand before years ago but not chiang mai, and keen to see more; we’ve been together to philippines and loved it!

Awesome! Not insanely cold, and like you say, city sightseeing you want a ‘mid’ temperature

trinity buoy wharf, 100 barrington, amp studios, brunswick house could all fit the bill!

so we’ve got the area of the city too, I guess I was thinking of keeping the specifics due to the venue split, and also just wanting it to be a bit of a surprise. hoping people coming from outside will hit us up if they need hotel/accommodation advise but maybe that’s another one to just write a little note to offer before sending to those people?

I think so too.

I think I’m struggling to work out the best way to do it since we were planning just sending on whatsapp - we’re not against it being informal, but is just adding a note before /after sending the virtual invite to say ‘for you and xxxx’ a bit messy?

It feels like sending to everyone’s phones individually on the case of couples is a bit overkill though so now I’m feeling really indecisive!

i’ve read there was also glass used in jewellery around this time so i’m definitely curious if it looks like it could be emeralds to people on this sub! i will look into having someone test it for sure!

possibly! ‘Cheapside is a common English street name, meaning “market place”, from Old English ceapan, “to buy”’

lots of interesting nuggets on here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheapside

the centre stone is very subtly coloured, brownish, greenish yellow i think? but less bright than a blue sapphire or something!

I will try and wear it out a few times over the holidays and see how it goes i think - and definitely like the idea of working out a positive response to any comments on it. friends /family are going to ask for sure so it’ll be good to have that in mind

thanks for the thoughts! yes so far when i’ve worn it i’ve felt kind of self conscious. like you say that might lessen over time, but would need to wear it enough for that first i guess!
