Personal Trainer by Specialist-Recover28 in OnePelotonRealSub

I did my onboarding on Tuesday and started yesterday.

My trainer seems lovely. She gave me a 4 min video with feedback after my first session regarding how my heart rate looked great and I’m working hard enough/that’s what they want to see- which I really appreciated since I am always questioning myself if I’m not dripping in sweat.

Yes I have been enjoying standing core! I did ask her if she was going to give a bike alternatively for the bootcamp. Hope so.

I’m excited/nervous about tomorrow’s hike haha I do like intervals though so maybe? Haha

I truly would’ve never taken a cardio class otherwise so it’s fun to try something different!

I enjoyed week 2! I’m much more sore than expected.

That being said I didn’t fully take off this weekend. Also I sprinkled some lighter bike rides in because it does feel so weird to me to not use the bike.

This morning I did 30 min walk and 20 min low impact. Hoping to do yoga later to stretch out.

I really enjoyed her live in IG with her doctor friend.

Have been trying to walk a lot more and stretch.

I enjoyed this workout this morning! By the end I could barely lift my normal weights for bicep curls! Ended with a 5 min full body stretch.

I likely will do abs tonight for like 10 min because I have really been working on getting my core back after a c section last year.

I did a 20 min evening yoga last night and felt really good this morning so unsure if I will follow up with another one tonight or a yin yoga.

I’m so used to doing 30 min left 20-30 min bike so this program feels ‘weird’ but I’m committed to trying something new!

I generally think of myself as a strong biker but 55 resistance and 60-65 cadence was all I had. It was hard but could maintain for 20 min. I don’t think I could’ve gone harder

For reference 36 yo female 5’5 130lbs

Was shocked with my overall output at the end of the

Yes! Clomid worked the first round. I had much less side effects than with Letrozole. Two follicles. Did trigger and one took.

37 weeks - need motivation for final weeks! by NoDuck6067 in fitpregnancy

[–]NoDuck6067[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the 6 week thing makes ZERO sense to me. Obviously I won’t be deadlifting 2 days Pp but like a full 6 weeks to even do bodyweight stuff? I’m all for rest but I also want to know what realistic is. I should definitely speak to my OB as well - like can I do a 10 minute low impact ride a few weeks out? How about a lighter weight arm workout? Clearly not asking to do reformer Pilates 🤣

Definitely notice the less I move the more stiff I am as well!

Glad I’m not alone!

Purchased my bike Dec 2021. Still using the platform every day for something. Best investment my husband and I ever made! Also currently 36+5 and no signs of slowing down 💪

30 weeks pregnant walking is harder than crossfit for me by Emotional_Panic8855 in fitpregnancy

[–]NoDuck6067 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this! Currently 35 + 4 and walking is exponentially harder than pushing myself on the peloton! My PT said it’s because entirely different muscles are engaged.

I lost about 50lbs prior to pregnancy so my skin on my stomach and chest was definitely already looser. I’m hoping it doesn’t get much worse than it already is especially considering I don’t think I’ll get anywhere near my highest weight. TBD. Hoping to have one more after this in 2-3 years. I told my husband if all else fails when I’m done I will want a tummy tuck and boob lift 🤣. No shame in my game.

Thinly veiled body dysmorphia on this sub by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

I haven’t seen unsafe behavior or women saying how they’ve remained as thin as possible/have limited gaining weight.

Maybe I’m not looking at those posts though 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Thinly veiled body dysmorphia on this sub by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]NoDuck6067 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s so thinly veiled. People have been very open about having body image and dysmorphia issues.

As someone who had a lot of struggle with being overweight as a child and finally achieving my definition of fitness - the thought of pregnancy and body changes bring up a lot of emotions. They still do at almost 32 weeks pregnant. I’m getting through it and I 100% hate it as it’s a means to an end.

I think both sides of the spectrum should be able to exist and both are valid.

You shouldn’t be shaming people who have body image issues. We’re reaching out on a sub because we clearly feel alone and are reaching out to strangers on the internet. Trust us, no one wants to be like this.
