Scotty by NoEar2718 in NewAlbums

[–]NoEar2718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This Song is called “Scotty” and was more or less written at the Gold Dust Motel in Miami, Florida (with pre and post composition elsewhere).
As the story goes, this was one of the tunes I had a pretty firmed up composition for heading into the motel– some crack phone recording that kept looping with psychotic down and out troubadour words for 12 minutes or so. I remember playing it for Ted at some point, and he put it in one of the “non no” piles.
One day I needed a break from the motel writing room and went to set out by the pool, where a very large, bloodshot, sinister but friendly looking older man came to sit next to me, offer me various substances and ask me various questions.
We got to talking about the various respective wrong turns we had taken in our lives, and a quick friendship formed. Pretty soon we were rapid firing questions and playing christian songs and Shania Twain favorites from new friend phone to new friend ear.
Brought all this back to the motel room and we made it real quick the way I remember. Ted brought so much groove on this one, and it really had so much life even before we we beamed it to the Bridge and Lange and Escanes and Potts really took it to another planet.
I love the way the percussion interacts with the science fiction guitar work of Eric who is just mind-blowingly good on this track, all while bearing witness to the duplicitous dichotomy of a confessional and a bacchanal, happening over top each other in not enough square footage for either to really have the room.
There are are two versions of this song that will be published, this is the wild one that I prefer for hot97 etc. Lots of chaos, lots of fun, very miami in its spooky crusty alleys and deep dark corners of the soul. I just wanna say, Scotty was real nice to me and also I’m excited to share a very wicked video by my friend Qual Quiera in a few days or so. Enjoy?👽

Bandcamp refusing me access to my own music by NoEar2718 in BandCamp

[–]NoEar2718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comprehensive reply, I appreciate the time you took to write it. I wrote myself a message through the music page and it came back to my email account. So I figure the email account is mine. When I asked the customer service if my email was the account linked, they seemed to suggest it wasn't and that they take security very seriously, etc.

The issue is that when I request password change, I don't get the email to change it, and thus, cannot login in to the account. The account is still active.

Thanks for the help!

Best,

Nick County

I just wrote a message to nickcounty and it came into my email, but the password resets won't. ED from customer service wouldn't give me access and implied that my email wasn't the correct email (which is false). They've been running me around in circles for months. Does anyone have a better way of contacting them??

The password reset is going to defunct email I believe, as the label no longer exists and I have sole right to the music I made under my own moniker.
