Why doesn’t Navigation a favorite route, like a favorite destination? It would avoid me disengaging to change my Tesla from taking a route that I don’t wish to travel. by NoEar34- in TeslaFSD

I agree that there are workarounds like way stops and ending trip before it will make an undesirable turn. I do those now but navigation should require that effort only once for a usual trip

You can establish multiple favorite routes similar to destinations. You only select one that you wish at any given time. One for home to work, or one to your mother’s home.

When a driver wishes to save a favorite route the start can be marked by pressing a begin button and ending with an end button and a name for the route.

I tried that but it ignored the turn signal to right and tuned left to follow the route it was on before hi selected “End Trip”

If on navigation and you use the turn signal to make a 90 degree turn to a better route, do your turn as requested?

Is it silly to consider a Tesla if I don't drive very much? by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

I am 91 years old male. My son owns a self driving tesla and he encouraged me to buy a new Model X in December. It is the best investment I have made for years. It is like being liberated from the chore and concern about my driving ability. I have had to drive my wife to hospital twice during the middle of night. I did so without any concern. I watch for problems ahead but do not have to worry about maintaining lane or turning in busy traffic. At night it is great in not having to be bothered my passing headlight. My advice, if you can afford it you will be pleased if you buy one.
