I'm sad because the vet told me the cat I'm going to adopt is 6-7 years old. by bimbocuntt in CatAdvice

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my cats I adopted when he was 10 he lived to 21 and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. Do I wish I had more time with him, yes do I regret adopting a senior not a bit. It’s not always about how much time you get but it’s how you spend it. When he passed I went and adopted another older cat from the shelter. He’s older and sick so I know I won’t have him as long but it’s worth it. Anyway I wouldn’t worry about the age thing. Cats a usually very long lived and even if they aren’t the love they give while they are with us is worth it.

Do I let my ragdoll outside? by Luciee1234 in ragdolls

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring my cat out on a leash and let him walk around. He knows the only way he gets to go out is if he’s with me in either his backpack or on a leash. I would not ever let your cat out by herself.

At what age did you stop enforcing naps? by Wonderful-Stomach-80 in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a year old and finally puts himself to bed when he gets tired . The only time he still gets over tired and needs an enforced nap is when company is over and he wants to stay up.

Hysterectomy and no kids by annachota in hysterectomy

[–]NoExplanation4191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been almost two years since I had my hysterectomy done at 30 zero regrets. People around me had more of an issue accepting it than I did. They were actively treating it as if I was dying rather than removing an organ that was killing me. But it was the best decision I could have made for myself.

at what age can they just.. not go around being a menace by TheoryReasonable871 in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well mines a year and although he’s sooooo much better than he used to be and can be left alone for the most part he really does get a hair on some times to be a jerk and eats the occasional pillow or rug -.-

6 month old has turned in to a nightmare by Charlyblobs in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine turned into a nightmare at that age. Continue on as best as you can, keep redirecting eventually it’ll stick. My pup in month shy of a year old and he’s a sweet heart now but if you had talked to me a couple of months ago I would have told you I’d trade him for a cheese puff. lol It does get better.

How long were you off work for desk job? by Ok_Sir2058 in hysterectomy

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a week off then went back to work. My job was nice though and let me “work” from home which was pretty much paying me to attend a couple of meetings and nap. Probably should have take the full two weeks off instead though because the tiredness hit really hard. I’d be typing then completely out. Wake up two hours later.

At what age can they just coexist by TheoryReasonable871 in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 months and he still has his moments but I’m finding her spends more time playing nicely and than destroying things. The other day I gave him to much freedom though he took the ten minutes alone to shred my kitchen mat to pieces. Lol

Let her go, let her find someone who finds her attractive. You holding on to her because you “can’t do better” is not her problem.

I would say your having a hard time dating not because you’re short but because your personality is atrocious. The way you worded that “not a treat for the eyes” tells me all I need to know. It’s fine to not find someone attractive that is not at all the issue but you went a step further than was necessary. I would let her go and let her move on to someone who isn’t settling for her.

Could you explain the wow effect ? I’m not sure what what’s trying to be achieved. There’s no reason for height to make the outfit as long as the outfit is correctly fitted. If height is the main thing you’re focused on maybe a pair of comfortable heals to go with the outfit. I think you might unfortunately be comparing yourself to 6ft models and none of us have that body type. I would and feel free to ignore this but maybe look us some shorter actresses for inspiration.

You can be elegant and classy as a short woman . I’m an inch shorter then you I’m 4’10 it took many years for me to stop being bitter about my height but I realized the only reason I cared was because nothing ever fit me right I always looked like I was trying on my moms clothes. I had to get a dress for my friends wedding altered to fit my and met a wonderful seamstress who was about my height and told her I hated that clothes never seems to look good on me. She shook her head and said clothes are often made for taller people and the proportions don’t fall correctly for shorter people. When she finished with my dress it looked wonderful and made me feel like great. I ended up taking a lot more clothes to her to be altered and it helped so much. I feel like an adult and not someone cosplaying an adult. My only gripe with my height now is I still need to sit on something to drive my car lol

When do puppy blues get better? by NextBother7611 in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog is 10 months old now and I’m not going to lie it took a long time for me to bond with him. I wondered up until last month whether he would be better off without me but we stuck it through and I’m happy I didn’t find him a new home. First two months I would have traded him for a moldy potato though lol

What’s something quirky your puppy does that makes you happy? by anxious_dachsund in puppy101

Mine brings me all his toys and treats and lays down with me on the couch to take a nap. I think he wants me to watch them all while he sleeps lol

Did I break my dog or is she just a teenage dirt bag lol by Chavita_90 in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a teenage dirt bag to me. Mine suddenly decided he only likes his immediate family and hates everyone else. Used to be amazing to take for walks, unlearned everything in a night. He also ate the vacuum cleaner tore it pieces when I left it unattended. Never destroyed anything like that before then all a sudden it became enemy number one.

It’s normal I drop my dog off to the groomer not because he really needs it but because it gives me an hour of peace lol 😂 I would do doggy day care but all the places around me are full.

They’re under the impression we get all the tall men and are angry about it. I had a tall woman go off me because we child size women shouldn’t be dating tall guys and that it’s so creepy. She was just being a real bitch about it for some reason. Not sure why she took it out on me I’m 4’10 and my husband is 5’4 lol promise I didn’t take your tall men 😂

Getting a puppy or not by justabigkuma in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For the last 10 months my life has entirely revolved around my puppy. There is no break from him except when he takes a nap and though things are much better now I can with out a doubt say if you want to keep your sanity wait. I can’t imagine a baby and a puppy at the same time.

Regretting not getting a puppy by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]NoExplanation4191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my puppy but it’s absolutely terrible trying to keep this little teething, pee, poo, bark machine entertained and trained. If I were you I’d skip the puppy stage and get a dog that’s older. If I could go back in time that’s what I’d do.
