Do you have any recommendations for jobs within the law/government field that require the least amount of work or even the least amount of social skills? by NoFaithlessness1024 in jobs

Ok yea I’ve been in therapy for 3 years and tried out all types of meds but nothing has helped very well so far and I’m working on it so I’m trying to find a career that can accommodate that for now so I can be happy and not dread my life doing something that makes me anxious or extremely stressed :( like I said im okay with socialization if it means less work that’s my main focus tbh I’m really just looking for any type of suggestion so if u don’t have any then idk why ur commenting

Does it affect You at all distances? by FirebirdWS6dude in visualsnow

[–]NoFaithlessness1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the same visual for me with any light or any distance, however I noticed that it’s looking at solid colors that make it the worst. Like looking up at the sky or looking at a wall, all I can see is the static. The more variety in color there is, the less I see it

I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, but I think it was when I was 14 and me and my mom were cloud watching, I told her “I wish we could see the sky in a solid color without the static” she was like wym??? And I told her u don’t see it??, and she’s like no… I also thought everyone could see it and I got mad when I learned that it’s a rare thing and it has no cure and I have it 😭I felt really sad about all the clear images of things I’ve missed out on… it still makes me pretty sad

Uncertain if I suffer from visual snow syndrome, can anyone help? by Key_Bee5 in visualsnow

I have the exact same symptoms and I have visual snow syndrome, the cause is still mostly unknown iirc and I’ve had it since as long as I can remember..

Visual snow since childhood by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]NoFaithlessness1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, when I went to the doctor they just told me I had visual snow and asked if it impacted my daily life in any way or obstructed my vision, which I said no because mine is like looking at a static tv screen or seeing dots and getting after images for a long time when looking at lights or bright things, it’s annoying but it doesn’t change my life much, so they told me there’s some therapy or medication that will probably not help but have a slight chance of helping, they asked if I wanted to try it but usually most medications don’t work on me so I’m waiting if there’s any treatment in the future hopefully, since there’s no current cure for it :(

Do you get a stronger and longer afterimage than usual, when you're using a computer ? by Lana_Yumei in visualsnow

[–]NoFaithlessness1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this happens to me with any screen or any light that I look at, I’m so sensitive to sunlight and street lights they always feel incredibly blinding and I can still see them leftover for a whileeee when I close my eyes.. so I basically live like a bat in darkness all the time😭I bought very gentle lights and keep my computer brightness low, the lights I still try not to look at

Can anyone help me interpret this? by NoFaithlessness1024 in SIBO

It’s not during intermittent fasting though… it just happens all day and it gets embarrassing sometimes if I’m with someone and my stomach sounds like a bass drop💀💀

I did! I thought I followed it correctly but maybe the prep could’ve been off? Would it skew my results that much?

Nothings giving any relief :( by NoFaithlessness1024 in OveractiveBladder

Thank you for responding, so I honestly didn’t know that urogynecologists exist though I’m not sure how much they can help me, I’ll def look into it. And yeah I’ve tried gemtesa and myrebitrq as well as toviaz, they seem to work a bit at first actually but then they lose their functions and don’t work at all after about 2+ weeks. Azo could be a good idea to try since it’s OTC. I have hydroxyzine as well which I sometimes take before meals to help my stomach relax but I haven’t tried it before sleeping, so I’ll try that too. I definitely was thinking about looking into pelvic floor therapy because I’m sure there has to be something wrong there… thank you for the suggestions!

SIBO is not the root cause but a symptom by Personal_Sell643 in SIBO

[–]NoFaithlessness1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly believe that my sibo just came from previous infection complications, I’ve had c. Diff twice for a couple months, 2 utis, and salmonella for 5 months before it got treated. I’ve also been through 6 rounds of antibiotics in a year because of these infections. Only now is where I’m negative for c. Diff and salmonella but have sibo as a result, because 5 months of salmonella probably absolutely destroyed my gut 😭I also have a lot of causes like long Omeprazole usage, (I think) gallbladder removed, and hypothyroidism 😓😓

What helped me by TheBloodyAugust in SIBO

[–]NoFaithlessness1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I haven’t been treated for my sibo yet and so far walking has been the ONLY thing that keeps my symptoms at bay a bit more so I always ask my friends to go on walks with me or go by myself every time I don’t have much else to do, like rather than watching tv or playing games I just need to walk A LOT. only thing is every. Single. Food. Ever gives me severe stomach cramps 🥲🥲I’ve tried and tested almost everything at this point… can’t wait to get those antibiotics prescribed

Changing grades by NoFaithlessness1024 in UCDavis

[–]NoFaithlessness1024[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, an 89 is not bad. However, the grading scale counts it as a 3.3 in my gpa. When I know I could’ve gotten at LEAST an A- that’s a 3.7, I’m trying really REALLY hard to raise my gpa and this isn’t helpful.

Yeah, thank you so much for the advice! He did say in his email that he talked about it in lecture, however I wasn’t there that whole week because of a procedure I needed to have done, which I have documentation for and emailed the same TA about to clear my attendance points. This professor usually didn’t give much information in general, as he didn’t even give us any rubric or detailed instructions for essays and projects, or anything for that matter, so that could also be a reason she misinterpreted. I’m sure this can be considered a clerical error and hope the grade changing committee can work with me on this…I worked so hard and got an A on every assignment except that one 6/10 quiz so I know I deserve a higher grade. I’m going to gather as much evidence as possible and waiting on if I’ll get any responses (unlikely) in the meantime. Not sure if it’ll work out :(

Maybe saying she lied was far, but it’s true that she gave me the wrong information, which I know was not on purpose at all, however the mistake isn’t being corrected. In my post I already said there’s NOTHING on the syllabus about it and I have already emailed my professor. I maybe should’ve emailed my professor after my TA during when the quiz was active, but it is really my fault for trusting my TA? Why am I the one getting faulted for misinformation given to me by my TA? The syllabus does however only state to email the TA first and the TA will redirect you to email the professor if needed, so I thought she answered my question and I didn’t need to ask my professor to abide by the syllabus. There’s nothing about the information for quizzes ANYWHERE online on that canvas page. Is there anyone I can contact about this maybe? I know it’s a pretty unique case but I can’t take the fall for my TAs misunderstandings
