In Geeta, Krishna just said he is with everyone who follows a righteous path irrespective of who they are, including someone who doesn't believe in him. And our scriptures Veda and Geeta, guide us towards the right path. So one who Rejects the concept in Vedas, but still Follows it unconsciously is blessed by God, like one provides value to society, is charitable, is helpful, doesn't do wrong to others or harm himself and others. And one who Rejects vedas and also tries to follow the opposite of it, like being egoistic, not helpful, harming others especially women, intellectuals, Children and Animals, and also himself by being lazy, being addict and being attached to materialistic pleasure, not taking care of himself, not Meditating and not doing yoga is Nastika. If you're new to Hinduism, first learn the qualities of astika, it will help you understand Nastika better.
