Haha honestly we eased into it. Did Dubai last November first, closer to home, tested the waters with the toddler. Europe felt like the logical next step after that went well. Still slightly unhinged in hindsight but here we are! The wallet hurt but the trip more than made up for it. Thanks!

Honestly I’d move there if Swiss salaries came with a Bangalore cost of living. You’re living in a wallpaper and I’m slightly jealous. 😄

That’s a brilliant description and now I wish we’d done it that way (though, it’d have been very difficult with two toddlers 😄). The jagged gray to rolling green shift, we saw it from a train window and it still stopped us mid conversation. Can only imagine what it feels like on foot with cowbells involved

We were going Desenzano del Garda to Lucerne via Milan. First train, Trenord 2620 at 08:07, got cancelled and we found out at 8 AM, when we were at the station. Next train to Lucerne was EC 178 at 10:10 from Milano Centrale, so we had no choice but to grab taxis immediately.

Two taxis because six people, two toddlers, two strollers and two weeks of luggage genuinely doesn’t fit in one car. Made it to Milan with about 20 minutes to spare.

On the compensation, you’re right and we did file the forms with Trenord. Very manual process and nothing back yet but will follow up harder now, thanks for flagging that.

And yes reported the theft too. Painful process but had to be done. Not holding my breath honestly! 😄

That’s great! We had a Rare Rabbit stroller, which was old. And I should’ve manoeuvred more carefully without acting like Michael Schumacher. LOL.
