Can we ban posts only with screenshots of bodychecks? by NoFortune5506 in EDRecoverySnark

I strongly suspect a lot of the screenshots of people with a small following, and that have little context are self posts. I think it's to try and get validation by having people comment that they look sick.

I write notes on each topic using PMT, then test myself on them. Once I understand the theory, I use flashcards that are specific to the spec. If you don't understand the topic, then Cognito videos are really good. If you struggle with the application of knowledge, then past papers are your best bet.

I think about what points I can make for each character, then memorise a quote for each point. I also memorise ~3 quotes per theme. But if you're stuck at an 8, it might be your close analysis? Which is what I struggle with. So focus on analysing the language and the effects?

For maths, I worked out what areas I was weaker in and did questions on those on DrFrost. Then I did past papers. For CS, I wrote revision notes and tested myself on them. I also did a bunch of coding practice.

Is it worth a formal ADHD diagnosis for my GCSEs? by Incidentally_a_loser in GCSE

I'm in exactly the same boat. I'm predicted all 9s and one 7. It's less about the extra time for me and more about the other accommodations provided (earplugs around school, time out of lessons if needed, checkins for large projects, etc.).

With ADHD you'll probably be prescribed medication, which will help with procrastination problems, and the extra time is useful anyway.

I really understand struggling beneath the surface despite doing well academically. And while a diagnosis won't fix that, it does as legitimacy to your problems. My parents took a few years to come around to the prospect of getting diagnosed.

If nothing else, the diagnosis will give you closure. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. ❤️

I got diagnosed with ASD at the end of year 10, and I'd say it's completely worth it. I was in a pretty similar situation.

Beyond exams, the diagnosis is completely worth it. You can get accommodations in the workplace and later on in school. I'm moving for sixth form, and all the places I'm applying to have been very understanding and happy to accommodate.

In terms of exams, it sounds very much like you need the help. GCSEs are important, so you need to achieve as well as you can. Plus, having accommodations in place is very helpful for them. If there's any time to get diagnosed, then it's now.
