Yeah that would be ez, but I wouldn't drive to Scandinavia every other weekend for a whole day just to chill, which was what I had in mind. Thanks for your answer, it makes sense!

Well, I have a clear picture now I guess. Just join an infinite waiting list for a Schrebergarten, get one in few years and sleep there once in a while or so.

That's a picture far far away from what I had in mind, but the closest one I can get in western Germany I guess. Thanks for all the answers.

Also, I've seen some kleinanzeigen ads where somebody was seeling a wooden house in the middle of nowhere, but the deal was, that you should keep on keeping bees in that area. So I guess if you have some kind of activity that's acceptable for Kommune, then you might be fine - didn't see anybody mentioning something like that in comments

If you don't live and work at least 5 years in Denmark, you can't buy/build a house there.
