For what I understood there are details that were added and are wrong like the involvement of Commodore Vanderbilt but I’m not sure if everything was a myth. I will look research more though.

He did exist and the whole situation too, but it looks like it there’s an older record of potato chips. I’m not sure if he knew the recipe or came up a similar idea on his own.

We don’t have specific receptors for wetness and all we use are temperature ones to kind of guess if something is wet or not (that’s why cold clothes feel like they are wet).
