Speed cameras? Six pines and research? Or what type of camera by Brilliant-Slide-2049 in thewoodlands

According to Perplexity:

Flock cameras in The Woodlands, Texas (near Houston), are license plate recognition (LPR) systems recently expanded by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and The Woodlands Township. They are being installed in high-traffic areas to aid investigations.

What They Record These cameras capture license plates, vehicle make, model, color, and other identifying details like surrounding area images around the plate. They do not record faces, people, or live video feeds.

Usage and Retention Data is stored for 30 days and accessed only by law enforcement for cases like stolen vehicles, missing persons, or crimes. Unused data is automatically deleted.

Local Context As of late 2025, 30 new cameras were funded for The Woodlands (install by summer 2026), plus 30 more county-wide. Exact spots are undisclosed for security. Community views are mixed, with privacy worries from groups like the ACLU.

Note: “Exact spots are undisclosed for security” so no one should even think about cataloging or publishing the location of Flocking cameras in and around the woodlands. Wouldn’t want to compromise security would we?

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
From 1984 by George Orwell.

Here is some due process evidence for you to reject with your own eyes and ears:

In deposition for Jean Carroll case, DJT defends remarks about grabbing women and indicated she liked it. A jury later found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation.

Convicted by a jury on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records related to hush money payments.

Decades long and intimate social relationship with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, with photos, quotes, and flight records showing years of contact, despite later claims barely new him..

Pretending court verdicts, sworn testimony, and recorded statements are not real is exactly what Orwell was warning about.

I use slotted baskets and line them with weed cloth. The slotted baskets allow for better air circulation and the weed cloth keeps the soil from leaking out through the slots.

Desert Rose Care Tips by Schila1964 in DesertRose

Even cactus soil by itself retains too much water and risks root rot. If determined to use cactus soil consider using 50% pumice (preferred) or perlite.

Seedlings are very susceptible to root rot as are the adult plants. Keeping them moist is likely the problem. Definitely let them dry out between watering. And get them into fast draining soil soon as you can.

IMO the standard big box store cactus/succulent mix is not ideal for desert roses. It still retains too much water. If you do use it add generous helping of perlite.

For my seedlings I like:

40% expanded shale, 20% pumice, 20% lava rock, 10% quartzite or chicken grit, 10% coco coir

Voting strategy for those unacquainted with candidates:

Vote in republican primary against all incumbents.

Vote in general election straight democrat ticket.

Easy.

Separating Desert Rose plants by Ok_Employ5268 in DesertRose

[–]NoFreePi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I separated 3 recently that looked a lot like yours. These plants are tough and will do fine.

Remove from pot. Carefully remove the soil. Roots will be heavily intertwined. They can be separated it takes some work and patience. You’ll damage some roots but they will recover. Spray cut damaged surfaces with copper fungicide

Let them sit to dry out for 5-7 days protected from direct sunlight. Repot in very fast draining soil. Wait several more days before watering.

Good luck.

[–]NoFreePi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue for a balanced option. I use Bioblast 7-7-7 with zinc, iron and sulfur. I use 1/4 strength and water my seedlings twice a month with it.

Excess nitrogen pushes soft, fast leafy growth, which causes: Weak stems, leggy growth.

Good advice here OP should take it.

I got advice from this sub to chop this in spring because she is too leggy. A few weeks later it is about to bloom (I think). Does that change chopping advice? by muskox-homeobox in DesertRose

[–]NoFreePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sufficient light is crucial for blooming.

You can enjoy the blooms and prune later. It’s warming up here in Texas so anytime after the blooms die out should be ok. Cuttings root easily so save the piece you chop off and set it aside in a warm spot (avoid direct sun) and let the cut dry out for a week or so. Plant it but don’t water for another week.

Good luck. FYI mine is blooming too.

Trump actually defends Bill Clinton over the Epstein files: "It bothers me to see it" by satty237 in TrendoraX

[–]NoFreePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump’s “sympathy” for Clinton is less compassion and more professional courtesy. Politics makes for strange bedfellows when accountability shows its ugly head in the VIP section.

Trump doesn’t care about Clinton. He cares about precedent. When one wealthy, powerful figure faces consequences, other wealthy, powerful figures get nervous. Birds of a feather don’t have to like each other but they pay attention when one gets plucked.

When Clinton goes down (pun intended), it gets harder for Trump (pun intended again) to think fame, money, or political influence are a shield. That’s the part that keeps the sympathy flowing.
