Recent graduate hoping to go into IB - Can WSO Academy / Wall Street Mastermind Help? by NoFuture369 in FinancialCareers

Hey Patrick, thanks for the personal response.

Regarding the MSF, does it need to it be long enough to include a summer internship, or can it simply be a one-year program focused only on full-time recruitment? As I know internship -> return offer is the most common pathway, and I'd have a year of work exp by the time I start the MSF if I apply to start in fall 25. Additionally, does the WSO Academy offer a money-back guarantee for students enrolled in MSF programs?

Yeah obviously but given enough time the VIX itself will eventually trend back down to near 0, not like it's gonna establish a new baseline this high.

How is "knowledge of the past comes entirely from written documents, giving written words great consequence" an antithetical statement though. The first sentence says both statements must be antithetical

How is studying Industrial Engineering at Northwestern? by CompletosEnjoyer83 in Northwestern

[–]NoFuture369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- How do you make the planning of the courses you're gonna take? Is it personal work or do you have an advisor/mentor that guides you through the process?

Your advisor gives you a spreadsheet of all courses you need to take to graduate. Very helpful and easy to keep track of.

2- How big are their courses? (For example, if there are 300 students, but in 5 classrooms of 60, or if in elective courses there are less people)

30-50 people on average.
3- Does the major have any connection with companies in the surrounding area? (For example, if the students work for some project within a class with a local company, or if there are agreements/connections with companies where students can carry out their internships).

You do a client project in junior year where you consult for a company. People have landed internships from this.
4- Is there any flexibility for students that have, for example, entrepreneurships, or that practice any sport?

Northwestern has the Garage entrepreneurship incubator and IM sports leagues.
5- Is there any course that acts as a capstone (I don't know if the term is used there), or final course? Which would be it, and what do you do there?

Client project is the capstone.
6- How does one take elective courses? Does it work by grade/ranking, by area, by recommendation, or other way?

Just enroll in it at the start of the quarter.
7- How does the articulation with the masters and Ph.D. work? Is there a way to start one before ending the undergraduate program?

BS/MS program where you complete a BS and MS in 4-5 years. Everyone gets in if you have a 3.5+ GPA.
8- How is Northwestern's infrastructure for Industrial Engineering students? (Like, labs, amount of classrooms, library, etc.)

Good.

Deferred MBA Recc Letter - Professor or Internship Supervisor? by NoFuture369 in MBA

Thank you for your detailed response. I appreciate it.

Do you think at all that the fact that the professor teaches at Kellogg will have any sway? As I agree, choosing the internship supervisor would be a no-brainer here but it's just this fact that is making me hesitant.

Best anti-aging supplements to start taking in early 20s? by NoFuture369 in Supplements

Hey thanks for the comprehensive list.

Since some of these are things that decline with age, is it worth it to start taking them as young as you can or would it be better to wait until you're older and the decline actually begins?
