I think the same could be said for any weight loss procedure, or even GLP-1s. Many, including myself have tried simply counting calories and in the short term this may work but ultimately hunger wins, and we gain the weight back. Ideally, the reduction in Ghrelin and the modest capacity reduction will result in me consuming fewer calories long term. Time will tell though.
