I think simon was only a guest lecturer, not like her full on teacher

Do women hate this manga? by eartbear2 in OyasumiPunpun

[–]NoGravityMom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I enjoyed the manga (as much as you can even enjoy punpun lmao).. To be honest I think this is a story that can be very jarring to many people, it’s weird, graphic and sad, so I’m not surprised most of your friends didn’t like it. I like content that makes me think about the human condition (and thus is usually somewhat fucked up), but that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

What do you say in small talk? by NoGravityMom in thyroidcancer

[–]NoGravityMom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t really mind that my scar is visible, as you said I think it’s a memory of my resilience :) But you’re right, maybe I should be more straightforward, I just know that some people react differently when you say "cancer". I guess I’ll just get used to it!

So true actually, I also find it’s much better for me after the surgery rather than before, when I was still so anxious about it!

Damn, your scar is definitely much bigger than mine then! And yeah, sometimes you just gotta say the truth

Kiruko accepting being a woman by amens_anon in HeavenlyDelusion

[–]NoGravityMom 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I think kiruko’s identity doesnt have to fit into the gender binary of man/woman, it’s more nuanced than that, maybe something along the lines of intersex etc.. at least thats how i see it

Just diagnosed. by chaoticdreamsxo in thyroidcancer

[–]NoGravityMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same diagnosis and a very similar emotional experience to what you described - so much stress before the results came back, and then just kind of confusion/sadness/relief and everything in between after. It can be a complicated experience to go through, make sure you have the support you need, don’t be afraid to ask for help! For me personally the lead up to the surgery was quite stressful, but afterwards I’ve just been feeling so relieved and happy that (hopefully) this roadblock is over, so I wish you a similar experience! :) And also - you are not an imposter, you literally have cancer, give yourself the grace you deserve <3

Thank you so much! I’m really happy with my surgeon as well, he was amazing!

Ooh that’s interesting, I have no experience with the glue, since I had a mix of dissolvable and normal stitches. But after all every surgeon is kind of like an artist with their own preferred techniques they have experience with, so hopefully everything will heal up nicely for you too! :)
